Fallout 4 isn't detecting my graphics card : Fallout 4

I have a Gainward NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 video card and it says "fallout 4 will now detect your video card" then "your video hardware was not identified". Can anyone tell me why Fallout 4 isn't detecting my card and what I can do about it? I am running the latest Windows 7 drivers from NVIDIA (361.43) as well as the 1.2.37.0 version of the game (which is what Steam installed for me when I downloaded/installed the game yesterday)

Which is below spec (having only one gig of memory).
Maybe a 750 Ti with 2GB would be better?
Possible that your rig will play the game in future, after some patches released...
But it's a strange one.
Some people apparently running the game with integrated (Intel) graphics from modern CPUs?
But (technically) below spec.

I must be nutty - I bought a new ($250) vidcard to play! GTX 960 (Strix) 4GB.
But I've been told that my trusty old GTX 460 (1GB) would have probably worked.
Strange that your vidcard was simply 'not detected' though!
Indicates that the game does not recognize it. I must assume that this is by design...

That's not that simple. And I'm angry because that problem affects even users with an GTX Titan, but can't pinpoint the problem yet.

I was able to get the game to boot by selecting the "use optimal settings" in GeForce Experience. And after a BIOS upgrade and the latest motherboard drivers, its playable (so far at least). So its all good for now unless I hit problems related to my lack of VRAM
