Looking for T-45 Helmets

Post » Thu Jan 14, 2016 8:45 pm

I'm looking for T-45 Helmets. Anyone know where any mobs respawn wearing T-45 power armor? Or where I can buy T-45? I'm lvl 66, and have collected most, if not all the PA you can find out and about. I know of a few locations where guys wearing Raider PA respawn, and one place for T-51 (though, no helmet here either). I have a couple T-45 sets I'd like to complete that are just missing helmets. Any ideas?

They sell full T-60 sets, and a few t-51 pieces, no T-45 and it always seams the same, so I don't think they change.

It is level dependent mostly so if you are a high level it is less likely you will get it, but a location most people pass early but never check is a highway right outside Lexington(towards sanctuary), it has a little elevator and a crashed Vertibird on the highways. There is a set of PA up there. Since many get near it but don't check it the armor is usually stuck at a low level and will likely be T-45

Atom Cats stock changes every like 24-48 in game hours. Sometimes it seems to help to buy a piece and then leave because it seems like she always keeps the same number of random power pieces in stock.

Nah, he likes it just for you helping the robots fixing the ship and disapproves if you side with the scavengers, he's clearly like the robots.

Thanks guys. I never would have gone back to check Atom Cats. I went, bought all their odd pieces, traveled, went back, waited 24hrs, and they had different pieces! Took a couple times, but then they had a t-45 helmet, then another one, then a t-51. Still no T-51 right legs though!

Any thoughts on X-01? Like I said I've collected most if not all the PA around (55 frames as of last night, 44 of those full and ALOT of pieces in my workbench). I have 2 full suits of X-01, plus 2 torsos and 1 helmet. Need some arms and legs. Are they sold anywhere that I may have missed?

I have never seen it myself but others have said that X-01 will occasionally pop up in the Atom Cats shop but it's really rare.

There's no other vendor with random power armor pieces that I know of.

This is not something I wanted to read. T-45 is the only armor I can apply Minutemen paint to. :(

Rowdy usually sells, T51 and T60 (non-Atom Cat) parts. She will also fully restock T60 parts with the Atom Cats paint job periodically (I think every 48 hours). ON OCCASION, she will also have T45 parts and/or X01 parts in her inventory. Keep checking back with her.

{Edit} From my experience not all power armor spawns as level dependent. As an example: No matter what level I am when I first go to Concord, the power armor there is always T45. Additionally, the "leveled" power armor seems also to take the Difficulty game setting into account. That is to say, a power armor that is X01 Mk. III at level 35 on survival difficulty will be T51 at level 35 on easy difficulty. Rowdy may function similarly (I haven't tested it).

So try this: Go to your home base. Set the game difficulty to Easy. Sleep twice for 24 hours. Save game and then travel to the Atom Cats garage and check Rowdy. If she doesn't have the T45 helmet you want, load your save and try again. It may work. Just remember to set you game difficulty back to wherever you had it before you started meta-gaming.

It really is a shame.

Yet, unless you're playing on higher difficulties, T-45 is already more than enough to hit the resistance caps anyway, and I don't think it looks THAT bad personally. Certainly not as sleek as T-51 or as bulky as T-60/X-01 though.

Atom Cats restock.

They will have T45 helmets in time...
