I am having an issue with the Trouble Brewin Quest. I have tried going back to the save point all with the same result. I have since given up on the quest. But it will not fail me, it is still in the quest list.

following Drinkin Buddy back to the hotel and a car explodes. This causes him to attack us and piper kills him. at this point the quest should fail. but it does not. I went back to the save point where we first found him and it happens the same way every time. I even tried running from him and he eventually catches up and attacks again??!!

now he is dead and the marker is still over his "body" the quest is still in que, and i have no idea how to fix it

any help with this

Well... A car explodes by the hotel? That is weird, but how about you go on ahead and blow that car up before he ever gets near it? Then it should be gone and nothing will hit him in the face. Just escort him until the last group of super mutants are done with, sprint to the car and throw a grenade on it. Should do the trick, no? Just make sure no one else gets hurt, if they do and you can still finish the quest, leave good neighbor and come back in a week. Everyone should have calmed down by then, as long as it isn't a major character that gets killed.
