Ok, not sure if this is true. Maybe I skipped something? But am I right when I say you can't get the dog to find stuff for you anymore? Like this seriously is a big advantage for the player, especially since I'm using hardcoe mode, I wanted him to get me a few weapons locked up to 100, and maybe fetch him for ammo. But it looks like you can't get him to that. He also dies easier... I sent him back home because of all of this.
