Game Won't Save...ANYTHING!

Post » Fri Jan 15, 2016 9:35 pm

I've installed (and reinstalled) Fallout 4 multiple times. I'm running a Windows 10 box that has every updated driver.

For some reason, the installation never created the folders to hold any save files, nor will it create any save files now that I have created those folders.

I've verified that I have full access rights to those folders, but the system won't save anything. When I attempt to save or quicksave, the system displays the saving prompt, but no files are created.

The 'Load' option is constantly greyed out too.

Help!

Did you upgrade the computer to Windows 10, perform a clean/fresh install of Windows 10, or buy a computer with Windows 10 pre-installed on it?

As Mark5917 referred to, it is most likely an issue with access rights to the Documents folder, especially if you upgraded to Windows 10.

If you need a step-by-step procedure, just let me know.
