Paul Pembroke is stuck in Cooke residence

Post » Fri Jan 15, 2016 11:27 pm

Hi, I just completed the quest "Diamond City Blues" by helping Henry Cooke ambush the drug deal and dividing the spoils with Paul Pembroke 50/50.

Paul Pembroke became the new bartender of Colonial Taphouse.

The bug starts here.

After 10 pm, he returned to his new home, Cooke residence, but after 10 am in the morning, when he should be back at work, he remained stuck in Cooke residence.

When I unlocked the door, he proceeded to Colonial Taphouse and worked for the day, but when he went back home at night, the door locked up again and he was stuck again.

This bug is apparently caused by Darcy Pembroke repeatedly locking the Cooke residence door whenever she enters and leaves Cooke residence, even if the door was previously unlocked.

Can anybody help me solve this bug? (how to unlock a door permanently)

Currently my only solution is to unlock him out of his own house everytime I want to have a drink at Colonial Taphouse and risk trespassing.

You could use the console to give him the Cooke Residence Key

If Paul Pembroke is present during the drug deal, he will remain stuck there when taking the drugs if you chose the 50\50 speech choice.

If the player returns to the drug deal after a fast travel, Paul will have new clothes but will still stand there. Eventually, he will get shot by raiders or vanish.

Speaking to Colette will show dialog option as the quest was never completed, currently there are no work around to fix this issues.

Thank you http://www.gamesas.com/user/967050-mark5917/. Fortunately I didn't run into that bug. Thank you for the warning, though.
