What's hidden in the Sea?

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2016 5:49 am

I heard a story from a caravan guard about a huge ghoulish blue whale which scared a relative of her. Has anybody seen it? Is it only a story and there is no sea monster? I read in the forum earlier that the sea is mostly empty. I'm hydrophobic and dirty and don't have the Aquaboy perk, so swimming and searching isn't an option for my char.

There's no ghoulish blue whale, but there is something about the size of one that contains a ghoul. Look in the waters northeast of the Four Leaf Fishpacking Plant for something strange poking out of the water's surface.

Yeah the sea only really contains the above quest and thats about it really.......hugely under used area, maybe they have plans to really use it in a DLC.

No more underused than any other Bethesda game with an ocean, except for maybe Morrowind. Todd Howard's gone on record to say that they're not really big on underwater content.

Still massively underused compared to the rest of the game which is teeming with content......its a interesting feature that you sink in power armor and can walk along the seabed and then well nothing really, no reason to enter the water at all beyond crossing rivers and getting to an Island.

There's the Aqua perk, which comes in handy more than once. It's also usefull to scrap additional stuff on the shores of your settlements. I'm thinking of the Island, mainly.

Definitely recommended if you build on the island. There is so much salvage in those waters.
