Any tips on the Institute ending?

You can hack it, but you can only either activate or deactivate it. I don't think it would shoot for you, even then, they destroy turret pretty quick. The BoS spawning endlessly, so it's pretty useless to take them head on in the first place. It's more likely to go on the side building, destroy the machine, allowing synth soldiers to relay there.

Actually I got the total hack magazine, and you can recode turrets to target different things.

Oh, ok, I guess you can do that, but turret would be destroyed pretty easily, they spawn endlessly and some have missiles and most have gatling gun. It's pretty easy once you got one of the jamming signal machines destroyed though since the synths also spawn endlessly.

If you haven't already, grab the eight free Synth relay grenades in SRB.

Its not much, but you can zap in a little extra fire-power in addition to the three beacons you get.

Well it's still fire support. I usually place my turrets on a coffee table behind a fence to act as a shield. Thanks to the little boost the tables give, the turrets can shoot over the fence, while their lower frame is protected. Also, missile turrets man, Holy cow. I built three (plus six heavy laser turrets) and I think three turrets total were broken after I aggro'd the BoS base to test out how long they'd last before most of them were dead. (with no player intervention) And if anything goes wrong, like I can't hack player made terminals, i left it in a room deliberately in the turrets blind spot, and that's also where the power is, so I can just shoot the generators.

So that's what those do. Like the MM flare gun but instant. How handy.

Yeah, and siding with The Institute gives you access to as many of them as you can buy (they respawn in groups of 30 at requisitions).

The Gen-1's are a bit less hardy than your average MM (although not by much honestly) but there's no limit to how many you can spawn at one time.

Incredibly useful. Like having your own personal army wherever you go.

I should wait until I have max level wasteland whisperer too. Between the turrets, minutemen, synths, the mirelurk queen, and artillery shelling. The BoS are going to be wondering what the ---- is happening when I stomp in their door. That'll teach them to trash talk Owen Lyons. Hell, I wonder if there is a mod that lets you bring your settlers into the fray. I gave my guards at the castle full medium polymer combat armor and legendaries that aren't good enough for me to use or on the wrong weapon, but not crappy enough to sell. My own pesonal commandos. I should call them the S3 The Sole Survivor Squad.

Sigh... if only Danse can still be used after making the BoS hostile, it'd be so much poetic justice to have Danse shoot Maxson in the face.

I know right. I'd totally install him as the new elder.

EDIT: Now that I know what those relay genades do, I really, really wish we had the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Grenade_machinegun from new vegas. Just imagine the insanity of that spamming synth 'nades everywhere. Give it the name of: Synthetic Rain and the BoS are hosed. :ahhh:
