(Ballistic Weave) Why the Heck....?

One of the drawbacks of playing on console. Of course, the console is a LOT cheaper than a PC capable of running the game/geck.......

I'm more bothered by the fact that a set of shorts and shirt CAN be upgraded. It should have only been allowed on military type gear IMO, like army fatigues, BoS gear, RR outfits, etc., and only a fraction of the protection it currently gives. And putting it on a hat and getting full protection ... man Bethesda really screwed that one up. I mean I get that people can put it on things and now wear about anything to role-play or whatever, but it's seriously logic breaking to me so I don't use it anymore.

I used it once for one character on some military clothes and it was so overpowered it about ruined the game. Never again for me.

Who knows. -shrug-

I stopped trying to figure out their reasons a long time ago. Any game where you can be called Mr./Mrs. [censored] and yet all clothes can't be improved and we can't have a simple kiss?

Shrug.

I think all clothes should have this option. Mods will likely change this.

Console has NOTHING to do with this.

Agreed. It feels like the whole thing didn't get play tested enough and slipped through like this. I suspect that the intent was to have it used only on clothes that could not have armor over them and not be used on hats at all (or if so, a very limited amount like 10 instead of 110.) The fact that just a hat and sequined dress has more protection than a complete suit of Polymer Heavy Combat Armor is crazy enough, but put ballistic weave under that power armor and you're nearing T-45 levels of protection.

Erm, we are talking about mods, and their possible future availability for CONSOLES. How does that NOT have to do with consoles?????

No there's no reason why it can't be applied to certain things, for example some types of fedora and not others. You've got to love those completely arbitrary decisions.

I suspect some of them are merely oversights. Wouldn't be the first time. :)

Alright. Gotta love the fact that I can bulletproof my cute Trilby Hat, but not a Fedora. :fallout: :tops:

I don't really see how that could happen, you give clothing a certain tag in code and make ballistic weave apply to all items with that tag. I get if they'd mislabelled a few items as such, but that really doesn't seem to be the case here because there's a lot you can't put the weave on.
