Yes, that's a good clarification. I don't think he's lying in the last of these talks. I think he's actually being honest in that one, so I didn't call him out as lying or anything in that one. I'm in a new play through currently and I don't yet have Deacon as a companion (Tradecraft is waiting in the quest log), but I'm spending more time in this play through saving and reloading during companion talks to get all of the various dialog options.
