Ive had 2x come up where he said he found something(1x i told him to search/1x he found it by his self).

Now does the items he finds get added to your inventory automatically or you got pick em up?

When is tthe best time to have him search.

Doesn't he drop them in front of you? Sometimes you see them, like a hypo, in his mouth and drops it for you. Not sure if he does this everytime.

Anyway, not sure if there's any more places, but after you do Captain Ironsides quest the Last Votage of the USS Constitution, if you tell him to search the area below where the ship flew into, he will find the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Lieutenant%27s_hat But I've never bothered.

Sometimes he won't pickup whatever it is that he found, he'll just stand by it and you'll hear him howling.

I know i once saw him at red rocket with a stimpack in his mouth but i thought it just disappeared...quess il have to pay more attention.
