As great as Fallout 4 is there are often swing and miss moments. I feel as though the Rail Road are only there to be "taken out".
In all seriousness you ask them to do 1 thing then you can ignore them for the rest of the game.
The Railroad do have radiant quests, you need to be carefull how far you go into mainquest lines. I think as soon as you enter The Institute, no more radiant quests unless you continue the MQ a little. As far as I can see, all radiant quests for RR available until you build the relay machine. Tinker Tom gives 11 Weathervane quests, not sure about PAM.
RR questlines are little different from other factions. PAM and others stop giving quests at certain stage *even* you are on friendly term on all factions. You may continue MQ (RR friendly). I can't see any loss if RR stop giving quests since The Institute and Bos do have some nice ones as well. Tinker Tom will give you a skill to weave clothing (ballistic weave), but you need to do some quests given by Pam and do "Boston after dark" and "Mercer safehouse". I haven't the skill given by TT, because it's bugged (sometimes it will not trigger). I tried with console command, but he only opens for trade.

As I understand PAM is bugged and will stop giving quests.
Note that Pereston also has limit on quests, if you do lots of quests from him he run out, but he come back with more later.
Preston... if only he would really stop giving quests... I'd be less inclined to avoid him like the plague every time I head back to Sanctuary Hills...
There is a finite number of settlements so once all of those are under control about all he can give out is kidnapping quests ...which aren't that exciting either TBH.
