So, if you get a kidnapping quest, and just ignore it, I know it fails.

If that happens, does the kidnapped individual die or are they just returned? Also does this change if the kidnapped person is a named NPC, or do they never get kidnapped?

Currently I've been holding three quests and not turning them in to Preston just to avoid getting more quests, but considering opening up the quests again and I'm always concerned about this one.
