How to get covenant wrokshop?

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2016 12:27 pm

Hello I beat the game with the Minutemen ending and I just discovered covenant. Swanson only says "you can go inside" when I activate him and the doors are open I can sleep around and stuff. There are no missions I can get or anything. How do get the workshop then? It says I'm not allied with them... So what do I do?

I'm on console btw...

If the appropriate mission is not available "Human Error" try a game save and "Kill them All"

Try talking to Dan. The long haired, hated guy. He will bring up "Human Error" mission.

You will have 2 choices in that mission, side with the Covenants or with Old Man Stockton. Either way, they will let you use afterwards.

But in my case, I killed them all.

Speaking of Old Man Stockton, make sure you met him in Bunker Hill and do some jobs for him, just in case.

I sided with stockton, next time I visited they all charged me.

Downside of that is that lots of the stuff is marked as owned and can only bee stolen / scrapped who is an shame as its an very nice place.

Pretty much an ready base for you and some companions.

I killed them all and took over. I have all female settlers there with their underwear only but all with laser rifles and super sledges. It's the [censored] house in my game.

Make sure you buy the Legendary items first from the "Enjoy Your Stay" girl before you go through your town massacre.

its kinda lame to kill em all, they're pretty cool and there's two merchants and the doctor usually have a good amount of caps, all you have to do is go across the lake and start the quest on your own and side with the town and bingo you have the workshop.

They're bunch of liars. They gotta burn in hell while I'm sipping Deezer's lemonade.

What does the lemonade do to you, if anything......I never tried it since I worked out there was something screwy going on and then wiped them out later when they mass rushed me.

It was amusing to hear the radio reports of it being deserted when their was a pile of bodies at the gate entrance.

If you want to keep the stuff in Covenant (such as the various items on shelves and what not) then you just need to store them in the workbench using the workbench menu. The ownership state will be reset and you can put it back afterwards. Containers do have to be scrapped, as most are marked as 'scrap only' and retain ownership unless bankable.

Enter the Sewer, allow the Synth Infiltrator to be Executed for Crimes against the Railroad. The Settlement will ally with the Minutemen. I accidentally entered the Sewer without finding Covenant and failed a Speech Check, but chose to allow the Synthetic to be exposed and dealt with. My character is in the Minutemen Faction and the Railroad.

This Quest gets My G.O.A.T. :P

Meh. Covenant and the "doctors" behind it are idiots. Four out of five results of "Synth" on their SAFE test are false positives, and they're killing all five of them to net the 1 in 5 chance it's a synth. It's sheer luck that they grabbed Stockton's daughter, not skill in the testing.

When they attack the sole survivor (who was more than capable of taking down their compound, which was much better defended), they're signing their own death warrants.

I entered Covenant and was told about the "watcher" across the river, when I checked him out, I found the entrance, went inside and killed everybody and saved the synth. When I returned to Covenant, I was attacked at the village gate and their bodies still litter the entrance.....in their undies.... But their clothes and items respawn every week or so, and I get the pleasure of looting their corpses all over again.

I entered this settlement late one night and Sandman killed everyone except the guy at the front gate who got a 308 round he never saw coming. I then scrapped everything and made a nice settlement there.

When I returned to the town, with everyone hostile, I pacified them all. That was funny :D I could've made them fight each other but only had the one point in Intimidation at the time, unfortunately.

Interesting. Did they stay neutral? And did you get to use the workbench?

I had to kill them, anyway, because as soon as I put my gun away they go hostile again. I think pacify has a timeout as well.

I'll remember to put another point into that perk for my next game :)

Killing everything is the universal way to access the workbench for any settlement.
