I'm disappointed in this game

If I ever get frustrated or annoyed with something my character is dong or not doing to further a quest I go http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Portal:Fallout_4 first before coming to the official forums and having a whinge. It's not the most comprehensive wiki like the UESPwiki but its better informed than some of the content on here.

"bugs" actually the game is very bug free, i think preston garvey prob isn't talking to him cause he needs to progess a quest etc, talk to sturgess or something, as far as not finding piper, lol he prob left her somewhere, you need to be careful keeping track of followers, if you give them the command to wait somewhere even accidentaly and you can lose em, i've played hundreds of hours and i haven't experienced anything major glitch at all, so i highly doubt piper is lost from the game but just in some spot he prob accidentaly left her.

I am also on the One and have played through once already and am a 50 on my second playthrough. I have zero broken quests and a freeze about every 15 hours or so.

Too bad you are not experiencing a better game.

yeah i understand , the "chat wheel is ....an interesting concept " if there's only 1 quest , but as soon as the npc has 2 quests the [censored] hits the fan

regarding the game i feel it offers alot more then other games do and it hardly crashes , i think it crashes once every 2 days ( real life days )

all in all it is a role playing game and if u steal the mayor's stuff expect him to be hostile ( i haven't ever rob hancock's warehouse and attempted to befriend him so i don't know what u did in u're playthru )

So, it's the first Bethesda game you purchased? Probably without informing yourself properly. That's on the same lines for me as people saying they've bought into the PR hype and are now dissapointed. Look into the mirror to find the guilty part.

I know what I'm to expect when buying a Bethesda game. Not a perfect game by a long chalk, but one to build upon. And in that sense I'm not dissapointed at all.

FO 4 is less buggy than Skyrim and much more stable to run. I use EnB in all games where EnB is supported. The games runs smoother and mine PC fans very quiet at 30 fps as default. Companions will not follow when you use lifts, broken Institute radiant quest (there are no feral ghouls present), still wrong settlement status in pip-boy even I don't fasttravel from settlements no more, 20 settlers don't find the 44 beds I have present, settlers don't find the stools I have present etc... but I'm used to this now, meaning I don't care as long settlers don't run away :-) When moving companions from one settlement to another one, I ask them to join me / team up so I do fasttravel. In that way I don't loose them. Either Beta testers don't do a proper job or they are set on wrong tasks, I don't know, but there are several issues that could be easy seen at an early stage of creation of a "finish" product ready for marked.

Cheers,

-Klevs

Don't mind the "enthusiastic followers of this game" here (can't call them what they really are, the mods don't like that very much, go figure) on this forum, they can never see anything wrong with any Bethesda game and insult anyone who finds legit issues with these products. FO 4 is quite the buggy game, some of the bugs are game breaking. It's a little better when on the pc as you have access to work arounds to solve most of the issues, but if you're on console, whooo boy. I still enjoy the game, but it's mostly because my interest is always in the modding side of things, but I am not blind to how frustrating these products can be. I do think Bethesda are getting lazier and lazier with these releases as this game feels buggier than skyrim even, or at least I never encountered a bug in skyrim that kept me from actually progressing in the story.

Depending on where you are in your mission logs Piper will go back to Diamond City, either at the newspaper or up in the mayor's office.

Preston can bug out, doing some MM radiant quests often clears this up.

This game's far less buggy than Skyrim. At end-game in Skyrim I had 6 or 7 broken sidequests. In FO4, I only have the one (bounty poster).

Indeed, it is. The most stable Bethesda release I experienced since Morrowind. That's not to say there aren't annoying bugs and glitches and what they probably call features. It's not a bad game, but what always angers me about any Bethesda release, is the fact that ultimately the modders take care of what the company should do. Bethesda's very indolent after release.
