Anyone Else Think Memory Loungers is Alien Technology?

They look something right out of Mothership Zeta to me... just look at the button in the middle and the texture of it not to mention the static looking lights.

The implications would make for a far cooler narrative, but it's more than likely just reusing assets/plot devices from previous games, especially from MSZ and Fallout 3.

If they were reusing assets they would look exactly like something from Mothership Zeta... this however is not the case.

No not really because we've seen both the military and Vault-Tec having devices like these. Clearly the model in the Memory Lounge is either a prototype made for public use or were re-designed from a Military and Science look to something that would be more appealing to the general public and look more cozy and comfortable.

and you chose to ignore my statement as I said assets / plot devices. This is not the first time we have seen pods used in this series. It's just a rehash rather than it being part of some in game conspiracy.

Devices with that look like something out of Mothership Zeta? Please do tell me of these devices in Fallout.

They aren't just pods... they are alien looking pods that have a very similar look to something in Mothership Zeta...

Anyways i have feeling you guys you will be like "that guy was right" when all the DLC are out...

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Virtual_reality

Virtual Reality was used in Vault 112 and used by several military facilities as a way of training pilots and recruits. Hell, even the Mojave chapter of the BoS came into possession of some and used them as a form of training. Really, I'm more surprised we didn't see recreational ones before Fallout 4.

I know that (also the memory loungers read memorys they aren't simply just virtual reality) and that's besides the point... the reason i think they are alien tech isn't because what they do but the way they look...

They remind me of the Tranquility Loungers in Vault 112, and the Sim-Pod from Operation Anchorage. I don't get a Mothership Zeta vibe from them at all.

How you missed the loungers is baffling considering they were a huge part of the main quest and op anchorage.

They just look like the loungers in Vault 112 or Operation Anchorage though. Just a different design to match Fallout 4's new art style and technology.

Right and again these things are probably the ones designed for the public so again, they wouldn't look like the ones we saw in Vault 112 or any other place with VR machines, why? Because they don't look comfortable, I wouldn't want that ugly machine in my home but the ones in the memory lounge are stylish, look comfortable and nice to use.

It's not alien tech, it's just different design targeted to civilians who want to use it for recreation. They function EXACTLY the same as the other VR machines we saw in previous games.

I didn't know aliens had such fine taste in red leather cushions for their loungers. I suppose they kept their captives in mind when designing them to make sure their probing experience is a relaxing and comfortable one.

According to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Alien there are numerous technologies influenced by aliens like the Sierra Army Depot Skynet AI, Psychic Nullifier, and the brain gel for robobrains, cyberdogs, and think tanks (Old World Blues DLC).

Who missed what?

Who says the Aliens had to put the red cusions on?? They could have been added when the Memory Den got a hold of them for comfort.

Yet everyone thinks i'm completly insane for thinking they MAY be alien technology

It's not alien tech? Please provide a source that says where the Memory Loungers came from?? and they don't work like exactly like the VR machines in other games... they read your memory... Does a memory reading machine not sound like something a sterotypical alien might have?? Just stop pretending you know it all... we really don't know where the Memory Loungers came from and we can only speculate...

Irma must be sent by alien. She sits doing nothing 24/7. She must be an extraterrestrial spy.
