Finally bought Fallout 4 on PC and unsurprisingly can't play

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2016 5:22 pm

Can't play Skyrim, can't play any games with graphics made after 2000.

Exactly as I had predicted.

It is sad but what can you do.

Not putting it in the tech problems forums because this is not Beth's fault but Microsoft and the companies that made this too expensive low quality hardware.

They will be rewarded for their treachery.

Just posting this to say that I am sad to not be able to play this most excellent game but also to praise Beth for the great story, themes, improved game mechanics and voiced main character.

You all did a great job and it is not your fault my rig screams in pain and starts reeking of burning and smoke whenever I try to play anything remotely intellectually stimulating.

Can't wait to see what expansions and DLC you will create, I loved every one in Skyrim and Fallout 3.

You guys rocks, love you lots like Giddyup Buttercup does but with less neighing and trotting.

Shouldn't you have checked the PC requirements before buying it?

I did and they are all above min and/or rec specs.

The main problem apart from Win 10 being pad and mobile phone software with PC hardware is all the Microsoft spyware, malware, bloatware and Direct X backwards incompaitibility issues.

That and Mic is beefing with Nvidia, sad really.

What is that saying about assuming?

Going to try Dorf Fortress. Might be a bit more Fun with all the clowns, cotton candy and three ring circuses.

If you don't want people to make assumptions, maybe you should adequately explain things?

Saying you can't play games with graphics that were standard 15 years ago makes it sound more like a problem with your rig than anything else, especially when you follow it up saying your rig is low quality and is screaming in pain when you try and play it.

sorry to say this but this sounds like your problem and not anyone elses.

Bethesda, Microsoft... who ever. not they're problem. yours and the limit of your rig.

You don't need an expensive monster pc to play Skyrim or Fallout. My PC is several years old. Windows 8 and with an invidia 650 card. I forget all the specs. it runs Skyrim on ultra high settings with an enb installed. I run fallout 4 on ultra high settings as well. no problems. And like I said this isn't some custom made expensive pc I am playing on.

Every new game that comes out is based on current tech. it is not anyone's fault but your own if you can't keep up.

On a slightly related note I run into this issue with customers where I work. they can't figure out why the new iPhone 6 doesn't sync with the car they have that is like 6 years old... its all about the ever changing technology.
