My logical answer to enclave tech in nv

Post » Wed Jun 23, 2010 1:53 am

there is a wanderer in fo3 that's in the northwestern part of the map near raven rock that has a follower with him that is a enclave sentry bot .don't remember much about him cause he wasn't importantl but u talk to him and he asks you fix his robot cause when he reprogrammed him he repeats the same agrivating phrase.so with a high enough repair skill you can fix it and he will give you a crapload of caps.I think I made my point
.but really why are u ppl thinking way too much into it.just enjoy it...

First of all, that event can happen just about anywhere in fallout 3 - they are random encounters.

Second, I am very confused. What's your point? What are we thinking way too much into?

I have to agree with Gumpy...I'm not really seeing how an event in FO'3 with a Sentry relates to the matter of Enclave Tech in New Vegas, on the West Coast.

Its a new post on an out of depth thread on enclave tech that is going on.

The gist of what awesomeman is getting at is that in the teaser vid the eyebot was just a highjacked piece of tech. used by a waster that got loose, not a hint that the enclave will be back in NV. and that the whole enclave topic should be dropped. Or at least that is the impression I am getting.

I'd rather just see the Enclave in person. They should still be around. Having the Lone Wanderer take down the entire Enclave by him/herself is just ridiculous. I like to believe that they survived and have been regrouping since the end of Fallout 3. That would be a good way to keep the Enclave around. They could be a pretty weak group that can give you missions to help them rebuild. The BoS is going to have little missions for you, so why can't the Enclave?

If it's that, then it's just because they didn't make an Eyebot that looks different than the East Coast Eyebot. It's like the Super Mutants that look like the East Coast Mutants. They just didn't bother with a new skin for them.

Yes, perhaps they could have found a new oil platform, drilled too deep, and are now spilling thousands of gallons of oil into the Pacific. It's The Courier's job to find a way to stop the leak and hold the Enclave responsible before the entire West coast is covered in crude. Probably robots with diamond blades will work...

It's kind of hard, on a deep down logical sense, of thinking they survived, when we as players had to undertake and arrange their complete and utter destruction in the east coast. I mean...sure, we can retcon what happened in our minds, but that's not going to change what happened.

On the Enclave giving you quests...They're a xenophobic group of military psycho's. They'd kill you before they think of giving you odd jobs.
