Im about level 25 in the game and i been using Valentine as my main companion, but i decided to go back to dogmeat. But as I call dogmeat as my companion, the game keeps the camera angle to me or dogmeat for about 30 seconds, and im not able to do anything but pause the game. As it goes back to normal gameplay, I literally cant do anything, as if im in a continuous cutscene. I cant pull up my pipboy, pull out my weapon, cant see my crossbar, cant pick up or interact with anything, absolutely nothing. I have to reload to a previous game state to fix it. Has anyone encountered this problem like so many other bugs in this still great game, or is this a new glitch? And can anyone help me fix this?

I encountered something like this while in goodneighbor when talking to Hancock during the Silver Shroud questline. Since I completed quests to get him as a companion, I first had to ask him to join me before I could continue with the silver shroud quest. Right after him agreeing with joining me, is when I get the bug that you described.

I had the same situation with the merc that asks you for caps to have him join you, I forget his name. I walked into that bar that has the Handyman as a bartender and somehow I picked up a quest to talk to the merc who was telling some raiders to buzz off. After that I could not interact with him at all. I had to load to an earlier save to get it right.

I've encountered this a handful of times. Reloading has always fixed it.

It's important hit that quicksave button frequently.
