How many of you plan to get all achievements on Fallout 4?

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2016 10:10 pm

Just got my last achievement a few hours ago on Steam! First game I've managed to get 100% since Call of Duty 2 back on the Xbox 360 lol

EDIT: this is also the first time I've finished the main quest in any Bethesda game. So far I've finished as Institute and BoS, and I'm about to finish as Railroad. Not too fussed about Minuteman ending though...

I already got them all a while back. Honestly I wasn't even really 'trying' to get them all. It just more or less happened throughout the course of the game. The last one I got was Wasteland DIY and this is really the only one that I 'tried' to get. I almost never use the cooking station or chemistry station, so I just sat down and mass-produced a ton of Jet to unlock the last achievement.

Bobbleheads and magazines are good enough for me.

Where can you get a cup of coffee for a buck? THAT would be useful information. :D

I still haven't gotten all the achievements for Skyrim (it's anathema to me to allow a bounty to go unpaid, much less across multiple towns), much less Fallout 4.

Maybe someday, when I decide to try.

haven't really been trying, or paying much attention to them for that matter...however,

I did get the Touchdown trophy (PS4) from a suicider supermutant, and after looking up what the trophy is for, it says something about a raider hitting you with a mini nuke...anyone else have that happen?

I don't play a game for the achievements. If I get them through normal play, so be it, but I'm not going out of my way to get them. Some of them are just asinine, like planting a grenade in a pocket. I wouldn't do that in game, so why go out of my way for an achievement that doesn't matter.

Is there a reason you wouldn't plant a grenade on someone? It's an effective tactic, and I can't say I'd NEVER play a sneaky character.

Honestly didn't start looking to get 100%, but now I am 98% of my way there.

I'll get them all, missing 7 or so atm. The only one that seems like a pain is the 100% Settlement happiness.

I have had 100% since December-14th.
Fallout games are pretty much the only games I ever even try to get 100% in...in fact I don't even really "try", it just happens naturally for these ones.
Other games just do not interest me enough to bother.

Well, I'm kinda hoping that the "achievements" are numerous enough and diverse enough so that I'm still seeing new ones pop up on my fifth 'serious' playthrough.

For me, "achievements" are just little markers for the many different things that can happen and, well, I don't see any point chasing them, on the one hand, but it's kinda fun when a new one I don't expect pops out of the woodwork every now and again.

I'm not sure what the point of making "achievements" public is, though. I mean, Fallout and The Elder Scrolls are RPGs, not sports. It's not like we are talking about Chess of Go rankings is it?

Which is exactly why I'll wait for mods. It's just absurd you have to resort to things like that. It makes sense that adding a clinic adds to happiness. But when more than half your settlers are doctors things are clearly wrong. So many obvious factors don't count into happiness at all. Varied diet? Purified vs pump water? Open settlement or walled off? None of that matters.

Nah, I play games for entertainment, not 'cheevos. They're fun to get and all, but they aren't my primary motivation.

I've only unlocked *every* achievement in like 2 or 3 games, ever.

Which is what I did. Found a mod that changed the Clinic's happiness value of 30 to 3000. Had the achievement awarded after a few hours of playing the game normally. Just wanted to show that it is possible to get the achievement on the consoles without using some outrageous technique like 15 Tier 3 Clinics. You could just set up an experiment in a settlement of 1 where you have 1 guy running the Clinic, store up a bunch of food and water, and build a bunch of items, then leave it alone for weeks. If you get it, then great, but if not, then you just wasted a few minutes. These guides say that you need to build enough items so the size bar goes from green to yellow.
