accessing the prydwen without joining the brotherhood? : Fallout 4

Is it possible to access the airship without joining the BOS? I've got ALOT of time invested in this character and have been doing the minutemen and railroad quest lines and went back to do the BOS quest line but Danse just ignores me. WTF?!?

No, you have to join the BOS to enter the Prydwen if you aren't planning on destroying them.

Did you visit the Cambridge Police Station to speak with Danse before the Prydwen came to the Commonwealth?

Seems not.... I've done the MM ending, did the initial BOS introduction mission along the way but left the decision to join/not as 'still deciding'. I cannot access Prywden.

I visited Cambridge Police Station after blowing the Institute, Dance made some favourable comments towards me then Scribe Haylen approached me and started thanking me for sparing Dance so the game seems to have confused itself in thinking Dance had been revealed as a Synth and I'd spared him (neither had happened in my timeline)

I wonder if the best way to play is to start missions for all factions, but then only support the one you want to support?

It seems completely ignoring 1 faction can cause some interesting side effects.

The summary of all Fallout games is to save before proceeding with any faction, and then keep this as a main. Once reach a certain quest, certain things in the game cannot be undone.

You don't have to join BOS to visit. You can go along with all factions concurrently before making your mind up.
