Metal and wood production. Settler job title

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2016 10:09 pm

I think they need to add a saw mill and a forge that we can assign settlers to produce these building materials. Have to ability to upgrade these thing like the guard tower where the settler finds better armor and weapons to use. Also add something to the settlers name to see what job they have its very difficult to see what job there doing. Also adding more building block like walls and floors.

Yeah that would be cool. Wood is currently my crafting bottleneck. Used to be adhesive, then oil, even aluminum for a while, but now it's wood. Even though I can go around some settlements and get hundreds, it's easily used up in building that settlement.

I agree to some extent. I've always wanted more jobs for my settlers as after a while a crowd forms saying, "easy living, this aint." I actually wanted manned turrets on a rotating tripod of sorts instead of those noisy automated ones. But yes more jobs would be good. I also find it arduous to figure out who is assigned to what. I figured if they're sitting around the camp fire looking relaxed, that might mean they'll unemployed & ready for work. I'd prefer it if we could just build a wooden job center, this will automatically assign jobless settlers to a task, saving you the hassle.

That's why I collect every clipboard from the begining on now. Mrs. Abernathy sells wood too.

In my game, it is "meh, another fiery, focused, recon-scope, super-duper rifle" and "WOW! Another toilet plunger! Grab it! And the cutting board too!"

Well if i just had the pc game I would just type god mode. But I'm stuck with my game on the ps4 and it is a challenge to just go looking for scrap. The scavenger station is ok but i don't think it does its justice, I have about five each settlement. I'm always running out of the wood or metal. Already running trade routes and have the local leader perk. There are so many settlements that i need to build up. so.... this is where i am now.

Sounds like you are taking on too much, too fast. I am level 40 something currently, and only have Sanctuary hills even reasonably well developed. But, I haven't been to concorde yet either. :) Preston can just stay there, duking it out with low-level raiders.

You can barter that weapon for wood at a market and if you throw looted wooden weapons, like boards, baseball bats and pool cues on the ground in a settlement, then enter Workshop mode and scrap them, you should have wood.

And Moe in Diamond City sells in lots of 100.....that's 200 wood per circuit if you visit all three. The fact Connie sells wood pretty much ensures I respond fast to kidnapping calls from Abernathy.

Well im level 55 have about every settlement. If i don't want a settlement built up yet i just don't build a recruitment broadcast tower. But i would be nice to just build settlements every where i can.

Spectical isle is a horrible location for a settlement but it yields about 4k wood scrap that can be used elsewhere.
