HOUSES!

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2016 12:16 pm

Ok so I've been playing fallout 4 nonstop for about 5 days now and I have several settlements going now, but what is bugging the crap out of me is that the work all the settlers are doing isn't doing anything and I literally started a new game just to prove I was going crazy when I was believing that new panels were being added to the houses in sanctuary... Also, why the hell do the buildings we build all look like crap also? Like I get that the old standing buildings do because they have been sitting there for 200+ years but why do all the new buildings that you build look like they have also?? Game developers!!!! PLEASE LET US FIX THE SETTLEMENTS AND HOUSES AND MOD THE ROOFS!!!! and even like allow us nice settlements to build, for instance it could be made like how the furniture is with additions of "white picket fence" and each addition lets u build nicer and nicer houses! THIS WOULD BE AN AWESOME UPDATE PLEASE!!! Anyone agree??

Seriously. I can build a ramshackle palace, but I can't fix a roof on a pre war house?

I agree. There are ways to make a house look less-than-perfect without having gaping holes in the walls/roofs.

Those are NOT just random holes..... They are GUN PORTS! We do now live in a rather dangerous society....... :D

Ideally, a mod, patch or DLC could be an option with pre-existing structures to 'patch' walls wand roofs with planks of wood or sheets of corrugated iron. Yes it's ramshackle and yes it's ugly, but at least we've blocked the holes in the wall and are providing some actual shelter to our Settlers.

What would also be nice is if structures that have intact roofs (houses in covenant for example) didn't have soaking wet floors when it rained. I know that's been brought up before and it's not too serious, but it's a tad annoying.

This isn't even the half of it.

You can take THE most advanced power armor ever made, and actually craft things that are going to IMPROVE upon it, but you can't build a wall or a roof that isn't riddled with holes.

Yeah, all the buildings are trash. If you are on PC, you can get Alternate Settlements for some real roofs, walls, carpeting, etc. And use Homemaker to furnish it with real beds!

We already have a few mods that tidy up the Sanctuary houses (I only use http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6176/?)...maybe with GECK we'll see ones that show us the repairs over time, so we see the houses gradually getting nicer.

Yeah but a lot of people (i myself included) use macs and don't even have a pc that supports fallout so I just use my ps4... the issue is that its nearly impossible to mod (or I'm just an idiot) and it would be nice to get at least the option to make it look nice... All I'm saying is that if we can (like http://www.gamesas.com/user/942452-quantumcurt/ said) build power armor and mod super advanced weapons why can't we fix a hole in a roof?
