Suggestion: Scrap Button?

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2016 11:41 pm

I really wish to know who started this misinformation, but it's not true. All unused materials from an object used in construction are stored in the workstation. I personally checked it out to see if it was true only to find out it wasn't.

I don't even want a button. Anything I store in the workstation should automatically break down to their materials.

That either defeats the purpose of having the button that we don't have, or requires even more sorting of Junk. Neither a good option.

Is the only way to scrap lots of stuff to drop it and then scrap it? Is there an easier way? Eg scrap items without dropping on the ground?

Also I have lots of weapons and armor that have a yellow star next to them. You cannot scrap these? All you can do is sell them?

If you want to scraqe the item, yes that's the only way. Starred items are Legendary and can not be scraqed.

Yes this is pretty easy to test too.

benefit of breaking down is that you can easy find the parts you want then you set up defenses or radio for new settlements who are not linked.

Easier to take raw materials than lighters and typewriters then you build turrets at new settlements.

Then we get the geck it will be easy to make an recycling station who you stuff with items who is then broken down.

It might also handle weapons and armor. Might also work directly with all the scrap in your inventory,
