Only one patch? Surely there will be more?

Ahh ok, i cant say about Consoles but the Release on PC was the same stable Status like FO4 now. But still, if you look what Skyrim got for Fixes at Day One and End of November then you see they are the most not neccessary to play. Dragons not giving Dragonsouls, NPCs not talking to you and whatever. Maccreadys Killshot Perk is for me even more bad as those Things. Settlement Attack Warning System and many more Problems. You just need to look at the Forum and you will find even more important Things.

That sounds like a cumbersome roundabout way to fix something that should (did) work, but I guess I'll give it a try =/

SOL TC, one patch it is done. Realistically, there will be more patches, hence have some https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErvgV4P6Fzc. Only about 2 months old, hold paper bag to mouth and breathe and see thereafter.

Doesn't the script extender allow you to rebind everything? I'd rather use a mod (that will probably be needed later on by other mods) than install a third party app that you'll need to launch and stop each time.

Mmmm I think it's F4SE. Can't say more, I haven't installed it myself. But I probably will when I start playing again, cause currently I have to switch my keyboard config (from azert to qwerty) if I want to be able to move in workshop mode.

After the second patch, I noticed more often framerate drops, as well as adding extra bug related to remote play.

Meanwhile, the real troublesome bugs regarding to minutemen and other quests left unfixed.

I can't say the second patch actually fixed the game. It breaks the game instead. lol

You could use Kentaro Miura, (the Berserk manga ka) or Robert Jordan, both are arguably worse.

Hopefully a new patch in the next few days crush the major bugs and fix the broken perks. Yes it was christmas and all that, but now is the time for action!

November 10th was launch day. It's January 7th. Now you can argue that "we're 3 days away from 2 months!!!!" but that's as near as to 2 months as anything else.

And there has been 1 patch. The other was a day of launch hot fix. Claiming "two patches" is a disservice and one I'm not fond of as it allows developers to release a series of teeny tiny hotfixes and then claim "hey, we've done 6 patches!!!"

Even the first true patch was small and contained barely anything of note and meat, and I'm a really relaxed and easy going person in that regard. I have no agenda, and I don't care what they fix or in what order, but I can recognize a hotfix and a small first patch when I see one.

Bethesda also said they'd release smaller, more frequent patches.

I am unclear at this point what "more frequent" means, but it is currently shaping up to be "quarterly." That's not "frequent" in my books.

As a complete aside, but a semi related story, I'm the account director for a software company. Prior to Christmas we launched a multi-million dollar software application; smaller and less compex than Fallout 4, smaller team too, of course. I claim no comparisons. *BUT* the difference in after-launch bug resolutions is STARK. We've been releasing fixes and doing status updates DAILY - including over christmas. If part of our team was out, another was still working on it. Everyday we let our customers know what's known to us (our error log), what we're working on, and what has been fixed.

In the same period of time there has been nothing from Bethesda; no fixes, no acknowledge of errors, and no communication.

I'm not saying that's "bad," because I frankly don't care, but it is a fact.

Once more the customers are called upon to repair the latest smoking wreck from the Howard factory.

I made that comment on January 5th, not the 7th, which was 5 days before the launch anniversary. And no matter how badly you want to split hairs on this and make it seem likes it's been longer than it has between patches, it's still in fact been less than 2 months.

No there has not been 1 patch there have been 2 patches. Both of which fixed multiple problems and were quite large. Both were over 500MB.

Hot Fixes (or Quick Fixes as some companies call them) are traditionally very small temporary patches that address a very specific problem that are later rolled in to a full 'patch' release.

Neither of the two patches that have been released so far in this products less than 60 day life cycle were small.

What your company does is irrelevant in comparison to B. or any other company. I was a service manager for a Fortune 500 service company for many years. We were (and still are long after I have been gone) rated number one in our industry and we operated nothing like you are describing or what I've seen of B..

Folks, it's a game. We're not talking about medical equipment repair or life support monitoring software. This has been, by far, the most stable release of any game I have ever played by B.. There have been two patches already in less than 60 days. It's not like NV for Console which I still can't completely finish on my PS3 due to framerate dropping to 1fps and hard crashes.

Anyway, I said once I wasn't going to comment anymore on this thread. I shouldn't have let curiosity get the best of me. :)

Edited to fix a couple of typo's.
