Drifter Outfit

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2016 10:01 pm

Hjello,

When looking at the Drifter Outfit and the Spike and Cage Armor it looks like the Drifter variant is the base for the latter two. However you cant upgrade/modify the Drifter Outfit to either one of them, leaving the good looking Spike Armor and the awe inspiring Cage Armor (and particulary the Helmeted variants) with very little defensive value, and absolutely no possibilty to upgrade. Any chance this is gonna change in the near future? Or do we get some substitute?

Thx in advance

PS: It's good to be back

There is a lot of good looking stuff you can't really wear because of the stats. Me, I'm partial to the Atom Cats, which can at least [spoiler}.

I use all the cage and spike for my settlers. The male ones, that is.

It's a shame really. The Helmeted Cage Armor in my opinion is the best looking armor in the game. With all that metal and the medium long jacket, and the mask, it looks fear and awe inspiring. Whether you play a good or evil character, this armor kinda gives off the feel of determination.

Dresses for the women I take it?

If you are on PC, there will probably be mods for any armour in the game, plus some. If console, cross your fingers, it will be included into the allowed pool of mods.

On PC: how do I add and activate data files? It's a bit off-topic... but I only get 4 options when I start FO4

I would wait a bit with mods until the modders gets the GECK in hand (rumoured to come in february) to ensure better stability.

As for your question, you will have to use Nexus Mod Manager or install the mods by hand (i.e. unpack the files in the proper folders etc.) Be aware that you have to add a few lines to the ini file, but it is explained by the Nexus manager.

Uhm... "good looking" and "awe inspiring" are definitely not terms I have ever or would ever use to describe either of those items, helmeted or not. A little "Mad Max" for my taste. Style over substance bubbie.

You play Fallout but dont like Mad Max? ...er... okay... Also, two posts later I pointed out "in my opinion" but sure, to each his/her own...

Actually, I loathe Mad Max, okay, except Tina Turner in Thunderdome. I know... it's weird, right? I know it was an opinion, I'm just being my usual SA self. :)

It does look rather intimidating, I'll give you that. My BoS guy is wearing some right now along with a combat gasmask until he can get out to the vertibird for some PA.
