I have a melee/luck spec'd character. I went ahead and took the mysterious stranger perk. What I've noticed is that he will show up on screen in VATS but sometimes not follow through.


It is not a consistent problem but It does seem to be a problem more frequently in tight corridors and the like. Also, I'm wondering if using me lee is interfering with his line of sight. In any case it needs to be looked into. Has anyone else had similar problems? Do you have mysterious stranger with a ranged setup or melee?

i have actually had him activate, but i never see him. has happened 3x now. i think your small area idea is the culprit

No one else has had issues with this?

I had something like that, but most of the time the kill would still go through sometimes even without seeing him fire the shot. Added a new element of excitement because even when he shows up there's still a small chance he might trip over something and screw up.
