Fallout 4 1.3 Beta long load times with AMD users.

Post » Sun Jan 17, 2016 9:22 am

As a Fury X owner that gets low fps as it is that had to overclock their I7 4770k to get the min fps up to a playable level. The new beta patch today on steam has increased load times to a minute to almost two for AMD gpu owners. I put my 780 TI or my Titan Signature into the same pc issues from low fps and long load times are gone...

So I am not making this up...

Also I don't think this is AMD specific, why lump it as an AMD only problem?

Then why not use one of the cards you edited into your original post instead?

Actually i have a better idea. As i don't have the 1.3 patch (and I'm not interested to download it anyway), why you don't make a new topic about the possible 1.3 Beta patch problems?

That would be helpful for the users, and for the devs as well.

Posts related to the 1.3 patch shouldn't be scattered here in there, but having it's own thread!

Only a suggestion! ;)

Hey Mark! Hope you are well. There is already a post in the beta patch section for this issue FYI.

Yes there is. It's even in the known issues sticky as well. Even before the OP decided somehow decided this thread needed to exist. :)

Just for the record, this clearly isn't affecting ALL AMD card users. R9 290 w/ 4GB here. Load times are the same as they were before this patch for me.

The load times thing is affecting people with various systems. It's not AMD specific.

What it says http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1583568-fallout-4-13-beta-update/ works just as well. You just need to properly opt out and verify game cache.
