Well, there's also the part where people don't want to let a big, safe, nuclear power plant be in their state..... they certainly wouldn't be thrilled with nuclear cars crashing on the freeway every day.

If you thought oil was expensive, just wait until you need uranium. Then wait until common thugs can take the leftover materials to manor nuclear weapons.

Not everything is due to the 1% economic conspiracy BS boogeyman.

Maybe rather radiation sickness, driving a dirty bomb and probably insane insurance costs? :teehee:

People were atomic power crazy back then, pretty much everything was designed to use it. Luckily they noticed it's unfortunate side effect of dying horribly, otherwise we'd be living "Fallout" :lmao:

It was called "Atomic Age" for a reason ;)

lol, you do realize oil prices have crashed, and many, probably most, oil companies have seen their profits drastically shrink. But I guess that's by design to throw people off, right ;).

Anyhow, if your so convinced it's all some complex conspiracy that nobody has been able to prove, just go by some stock in some oil companies, invest in a few rigs, or start buying and selling oil in either the spot or futures markets and become one of those 1% you seem to be so jealous of. And by the way, the government makes more money on a gallon of gas, a lot more, than anyone else. So much so that when people actually do drive less and use less gas they start talking about per mile taxes to replace all the revenue they're loosing.

And even though Google and apple both make more money, and are worth more as companies, I'm betting you never critize them. Even though they both use numerous loopholes and tricks to avoid paying a fraction of the taxes oil companies do, and in the case of apple, make all those massive profits off slave labor in china

Let's see a nucleur reactor in cars, with groups like ISIS...I'm sure they would just love to use a car engine to nuke the US.

That's why they never caught on. Having a nuclear power plant available to every Tom dike and Harry just isn't smart in the real world.

This is the real world, people do evil things with every day household items, like pipe bombs and pressure cooker bombs. You don't think for one second someone wouldn't take the engine from these cars, strap a couple together in the flatbed of a truck and drive it in the center of times square and detonate a home made nuclear bomb?

That said you can tell this inspired the fallout car designs.

Given the sheer frequency of auto accidents, imagine what happens when a vehicle's fusion bottle ruptures in a crash. ["Take comfort in the fact that if you die while driving one of our vehicles, there WILL be others that go with you. LOTS of others."]

If you get in a crash, then all your problems are solved, because you aren't around to have them. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Well, man knows no stupidity...ahem. Just try google radioactive products that people used from the 1920's and through the 30's. I mean, there is even a toy set, The Atomic Lab Set, which featured radium as a component lol, or popular toothpaste that made your teeth glow in the dark...... :lmao:

I still remember the popularity of glow-in-the-dark radium watches. Even owned one myself for awhile. (Of course, I never ever really wanted to have kids anyway.)

Wonder how a Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator would work as a car engine. We would have nuclear cars, but without the problem of them becoming nuclear bombs when in an accident.
