No refreshed sleep at Home Plate?

Post » Sun Jan 17, 2016 6:08 pm

Anyone else have or notice can't get refreshed sleep for own bed in Home Plate? Any bed I put down, or the default one that was there, I only get normal sleep - not refreshed sleep like at my own settlements.

apparently Home Plate does not count as sleeping in my 'own' home?

Ya. I noticed that too. No well rested bonus at Home Plate. Definitely a bug I would say.

If you go to the all faiths chapel in diamond city and sit in a pew a wait, you'll get a quiet reflection bonus..but only for +5% XP..

I've noticed this as well. You do still get the Lover's Embrace perk there when you sleep with a romantic companion though.

I imagine it is a bug or unintended oversight in design - that Home Plate probably counts as still sleeping in Diamond City rather than being a separate player owned home, despite actually buying it.

Kinda makes Home Plate the exception in more ways than one - no supply line despite workbench, and no 'home' status for refreshing sleep. I imagine the post GECK mods will fix that.

You don't have to be in an 'owned' bed to get the well rested bonus. You can get it from sleeping in hotel beds or from sleeping in random beds anywhere else.

I don't get well rested in any random bed...it either has to be rented, or a bed within a settlement for me to get the bonus...super mutant and raider base beds do not give me the bonus...not that I even worry about the bonus, but just sayin..

Actually I think you're right. What I'm thinking of is the Lover's Embrace bonus. You can get that in any bed in the game.

Right - and I'm not complaining much about xp per se, leveling is pretty easy - with or without both well rested and LE bonuses.

Just kinda takes a bit more away from Home Plate in my mind as a 'real' home for the player, since you can't establish supply lines, can't even build your own craft stations inside so you don't need to constantly go in/out to the market place, and doesn't seem to count as your 'owned' house for well rested purposes.

All my prior playthroughs I did settlements to the max, but on an alternate campaign I just started, I decided was going to just ignore settlements, and use Home Plate only. Due to the noted restrictions, especially crafting, I ended up claiming Hangman Alley just to use as a craft station with no settlers there.
