Lack in weapon variety.

Btw, that's another unfair comparison right there, because you have included weapons from DLCs. Base NV had only 106 weapons. If you exclude all those taken strait from Fallout 3, you will end up with about 60 weapons which Onsidian created. Easily comparable to F4. Except in F4, you can mod them like 20 times more.

because I expected you to edit and delete it because it is silly to include it. It is a vault suit with a flight jacket...literally it is what it is supposed to be. I guess that instead of using a vault suit for their vault suits they should've created a new one from scratch to look exactly the same as what they had right? I mean why bother reusing a leather jacket for a leather jacket when you can spend time and money designing a new leather jacket that will look exactly the same...brilliant truly on your part

But how many of those come from previous games? The Combat Shotgun, 10mm Pistol, Flare Gun, Boxing Gloves, the Minigun, and many other weapons are "rehashed" weapons from prior Fallout games. There's not a single new Unarmed weapon to my knowledge.

Because that would prove that you can make on your own without reharshing someone else's work and taking credit for it?

facepalm...yeah since it totally isn't like Black Isles (what is now mostly become Obsidian) created Fallout along with all it's classic weapons, factions, and armor or anything right? I'm glad Bethesda is so good at being original and creating franchises like Fallout from scratch... <---sarcasm

Can we please not get into a pissing contest about this? I mean, who cares?

For my part, I feel like there only need to be a few things to round out the weapon variety in Fallout 4. For pistols, I think a .45 pistol could serve as a stronger alternative to the 10mm, with higher crafting requirements. For Revolvers I'd like to see a more Wild West styled .38 revolver (or anything other than pipe guns to use the .38 ammo, plz) and "That Gun", the 5.56mm Pistol ripoff of Deckard's Gun. Not sure how they'd differentiate from the .44 Revolver in functionality though, although with the more common ammo they'll probably have to be weaker.

For rifles and shotguns, I feel like all that's "missing" are pump-action shotguns, which would be a nice bridge between the Double Shotgun and the Combat Shotgun. Although with the complaints about the .50 Sniper Rifle I think people are clamoring for a really hard-hitting Sniper, like the Anti-Materiel Rifle, to be what the current Sniper Rifle currently isn't. And then an Assault Rifle design everybody won't hate, of course. My personal request would be a pioneer/cowboy style carbine rifle.

Energy weapons are weird because right now the current weapons actually cover a lot. I'd love to see more "chargeable" weapons like the Gauss Rifle or Laser Musket, though, to live out all of my Mega Man fantasies. It would also be cool to see energy weapons based off of the original designs from Fallout 1&2, in full 3D. They could be more powerful, less versatile alternatives to the current models we have. And then there's the Tesla Cannon. What I wouldn't do to hold one of those babies over my shoulders again.

I am not talking about ideas, you know that. I am talking about the actual work of creation, Bethesda put the effort into making these weapons from scratch reimagining them and adapting them to their vision, that goes from the pipboy system with radio, etc, to the weapons; Obsidian just took the already made content and reskinned it. Then took credit for it because "hurr we are the real creators", when that is also a lie.

But the history repeats itself with Obsidian, when you say "mostly" you make it sound like if Obsidian were involved in the designing of the Fallout series as a whole. When in reality "some" of the people were involved in "Fallout 2", the second part. A game that simply reharshed the first one and added a few new things. Obsidian not only took credit for all the work done at Bethesda, but they also took credit of the Fallout franchise as a whole. They are the biggest fraud in gaming industry, and they deserve the red numbers they currently have.

it seems you have some petty personal beef with a company that I doubt you have ever interacted with and are using that bias to diminish the immense amount of effort that went into making an extremely grand game that managed to not only improve upon F3 in EVERY way but also managed to bring back a ton of the classic Fallout's elements, something which Bethesda refuses to do in their arrogance. Come back when you have an objective view of something instead of a zealous tantrum attitude
