So as much as I love this game and hope it get's better there is a problem that needs to be addressed... The Minutemen Radiant Quests. Everyone has done them, and just about everyone is sick of them. Unlike the BoS and Railroad's radiant quests that you can get by CHOICE, The Minutemen Quests are by far the most painstakingly annoying and just down right most dreaded parts of the game.
We will start off with the issues from square one. Preston Garvy, one of your companions, will constantly give you quests without even giving you a choice. Not only is it impossible to avoid it but he can literally give you up to three without even giving you a damn chance to take a breather. My brother who recently started up a second character, almost wanted to stop playing completely once he received three Minutemen quests while he was trying to upgrade his armor with Preston simply just walking by him and forcing him into the conversation. He had also already done two before he even returned to him. A game should never give you the thought of NOT playing the game.
The second issue is the fact that if you simply ignore the quests you've been given, it does nothing but lead to more. I at one point even encountered a glitch where I was not even informed about Sanctuary having problems, only to find out Preston was to give me the quest, leading me to falling it and it caused the quest to bug out where I couldn't even turn it in to Preston, who would then give yet another quest to you. This is not only tedious, but after turning in two quests for him he then gave yet another, leading me to yet again have another set of quests for The Minutemen.
Thirdly is an issue with Castle. I probably have never set foot back in that place due to the fact the radio will just out right attack you with more quests you've previously completed, even while in conversation with NPC's. I have to go run up to the radio, turn it off, then after I'm finished turn it on an run like hell, hoping they wouldn't give me another thing to do.
So what does this all mean? Well it means that unlike the other factions which you can ask for quests and they will never force one on you, The Minutemen give you no choice. No matter what you do or how much you avoid it you are given no other option but to be what me an my brother have pretty much called doing their b**ch work. You are, and are supposed to be The General of The Minutemen, your supposed to be giving the orders, and NOT being told to do the job yourself. A player should not have to be forced to do X amount of quests and have no say in the matter, other then to do them, then come back only to then end up with another three leading to the same settlements crying about something.
While on settlement's, the idea of a group of people claiming that Raiders are harassing them from all the way across the map is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Not only does it not make any damn sense, once again you have no choice but to be their b**ch and do it. Also the fact that if you fail to do a settlement quest in Sanctuary and see the summery of the quest saying "wont support The Minutemen" is complete bull, as the settlement is one of your first and should not be something you can lose.
When it comes straight down to it, the faction in general makes you feel like your doing all the work, while everyone else is doing nothing. As a General you should be able to send troops to help those settlements in need, not be forced to go do them yourself. But to top it off you have a endless amount of quests which should act like the ones from the BoS or the Railroad, make it so you can choose if you want to do a Minutemen quest or not.
So my answer to the problem is this: Add an option to say you aren't ready to take on another mission. Like with Haylen and Reyes from the BoS, they have options that allow you decide for yourself if you want to take on a mission or not, so make it an option to do the same for Preston. Allow the player to choose instead of forcing them to do the quest, otherwise your leaving them with no option but to sit through another three or even more quests only to return being asked to do more.
Please Bethesda, no more of this crap, it's not fun and your fans are expressing their feelings about it... literally.
