When are you going to fix your ****?

Post » Sun Jan 17, 2016 8:47 pm

The game has been unplayable for me since release. It has been over a month and all you've done is release a patch that addresses a few issues. Very unprofessional for a company as big as Bethesda. I thought i paid for a finished product? When are you going to fix this buggy piece of crap??

In what ways is it unplayable for you? Not being a dike here, genuinely curious.

There are indeed bugs, and many of them are very annoying, but it is certainly nowhere near "unplayable", especially since many of us have put in 100+ hours already, and had relatively positive experiences.

just FYI to others replying, just because the problems don't bother you doesn't mean others can play the game. They could be having issues that are keeping them from enjoying the game. I have a quest right now that is stuck, because the person I need to talk to is dead.

With that said OP you need to state what system you are on. Without that no one can start to help. If on PC what are the problems you are having and what are your specs.

Likewise just because he or you is experiencing certain bugs, does not mean everyone or even a large majority of the playerbase is experiencing said bugs, and means it would be unfair to extrapolate it to be an unplayable game as he has described.

I don't know of any bugs that stop main quest progress .. And usually if you revert to an earlier save issues fix themselves.

3 auto saves, 1 quick save, and nearly unlimited save slot should help.

Sure it needs to be fixed, but you gotta adapt for now. It even allows you to 'adapt' by keeping multiple save data, so why not do it?

First of all - Welcome to the forum. Though you might want to change your name if you decide to stay here for awhile. Second of all - Would you care to explain what kind of problems you are having?

Should be obvious to OP he must be having some fairly rare issues that most of us aren't having, so a bug report would be in order so that Bethesda know what [censored] to be fixing.

I was having problems w/ the game CTD for a while. At first I was getting a message "video driver has stopped responding and has recovered" then later it would crash with no explanation. I didn't really make any changes to the game or my system but it seems to be running great now.

Hope you can get the issue resolved.

Some specific details about your problems and a slightly more civil tone may be helpful here.

What kind of problems are you having? I've gotten nearly 300 hours of play time in, with relatively few bugs. I've been mostly lucky in this regard as some people are certainly having bigger issues than I am.

Is the game literally unplayable, as in you can't even launch the game? If so, that's a problem that many people have had and there are several different potential fixes for it. Do you mean unplayable in the sense that there are just a lot of bugs? If so, many people have experienced a wide range of bugs, some of which have temporary workarounds.

In either case, a bit of rational discourse on your specific issues is probably going to be more productive than creating a profile called "fixyourcrapbethesda" and coming in here and going on an incredibly vague rant.

My game is unplayable now also. It even started to smoke and spit out sparks when I put the disc in at first! Never mistake your toaster for a PS4. :sadvaultboy:

I won't call that a bug. I find it pretty logical to not be able to go down some quest path if the person is dead.

You can say that this is annoying, if you want to complete the quest but not really a bug.

On the other end, if the main quest is stuck because someone gets killed, that is a major bug.

You should always be able to complete the main quest.

Quite true. I'm on my 3rd playthrough but I had to go in and find solutions to 2 game breaking bugs before that could be done. 1) the lockpicking mini-game was invisible, and 2) the game didn't support my monitor or it's screen resolution.

So I had to find 2 fixes online for that and both involved adding lines to the fallout4.ini file. Then yesterday I found out that half of my power armor HUD was missing. I just thought that the power armor HUD didn't show HP or ammo. But it turns out that those sides of the HUD had been cut off. So I had to hunt down a fix online (another "add line to fallout4.ini" fix) to fix it.

But I agree with the OP. The fact that there aren't fixes out FROM BETHESDA for these yet is absurd. Not everyone is computer literate enough to fix the display like I did and no one should be expected to do that themselves either.

This is why I play on consoles.

They just work.

Hope you get your fixes though, OP.
