Late Power Armor Upgrades

Post » Sun Jan 17, 2016 6:04 pm

Both the Jetpack and Stealth Boy upgrades use a ridiculous amount of Action Points, meaning if you don't have a lot of points invested in Agility and possibly Action Boy then you will not be getting very good value out of these upgrades, Bethesda, this is simply ridiculous, not only do the vast majority of builds that utilize power armor utilize agility almost in no fashion what-so-ever, but on top of this it's Power Armor, my character should not be expending any energy at all for these attributes, so after reaching level 41 and having invested all 4 ranks in the science and armor perk and I now find I have to have a bunch of points invested in Agility as well? This simply doesn't make any sense Bethesda.

The Jet Pack already uses up Fusion Cores like they're water and the Stealth Boy only works when you're crouched and standing still, if I had a high Agility build why would I be using Power Armor in the first place?

I think it's fine as is.

Power Armor is already overpowered, it doesn't need more overpowered abilities to make it way too ridiculous.

Exactly.

You answered your own question.

Why is this a concern in a single player game again?

Personally I think everything is fine the way it is.

Because it's already incredibly overpowered. If Bethesda is going to spend development time on DLC, I'd rather see them spend it on something more worthwhile than making an already overpowered thing even MORE overpowered.

i love the system

and i think there should even be more options especially color sheme, i also am of the opeinion that fusion cores should be rarer and the level treshold for finding better suits higher , it is too easy to get a t 60 or xo 1

Iam using already a Mod. It allows me to jump 80 Meters. Not bad at all, but yes the Power Armor is already to OP, even on Survival. Its like using cool Cheats.

Because it forces people who don't want to use it, to use it, because all other options are a joke by comparison.

Well to be fair anything that consumes AP depletes the fusion cores faster. That means, running, VATS, power attacks, etc. If the Jetpack depletes the FC faster is mainly because it uses a lot of AP.

Also, I havent fully tested this, but I'd assume Endurance would help the Jetpack last longer because it helps action points run out slower, while more agility would consume the FC at the same speed as usual, only difference is that you would only be on the air for more time. So I supose in that regard it's useful for the two kinds of builds, the Tanky characters, and the weak ones that rely on PA for critical moments.
