BTW: those horizontal row hotkeys work a treat - when I can hit the correct one
I just wanted to say thanks @Phoss for pointing those out because, in my case, they're much better than no hotkeys at all.
And, @Smokeyman, AutoHotKey's worked wonders unlocking keys in the Ins/Del/Home/End/Pgup/Pgdn block and that's something which has made FO4 playable for me. I also use AutoHotKey to completely diasable the suicide button (quickload) as that's all quickload is good for and, man, quickload really messes things up when one accidentally hits the wrong key at the wrong time. Being able to disable quickload, using AutoHotKey, has opened up and entire block of keys for me in this game (although I haven't been able to coax autokey into remapping things so that the default key for quickload doubles as a second quicksave key - because I'd often hit that key when looking for the quicksave key and you can imagine what that does ).
There seems to be the occasional issue with AutooHotKey, though. On rare occasions, it doesn't switch off as intended (fixed by an OS restart). This hasn't happened often enough for me to be able to identify a definite trigger so, still hunting that one. But something that is, perhaps, a little more examinable at this stage, is that AutoHotKey does seem to have a little trouble remapping some of the functions. Maybe I'm missing something but, for example, I haven't been able to get AutoHotKey to remap the quicksave key so that the numpad minus key can trigger a quicksave - which would put the quicksave function not so very far away from the the action in my case. Anyway, this is just to let yo know that I'd love to see some scripting samples for any solutions folks might have come up with for related difficulties - just in case you or anyone you know might have something at hand.
Edit: Oups! My bad: It's AutoHotKey, not "Autokey"
