I don't know if someone is having problems with it but, I know I have.

My settlers always keep stealing my weapons from the Workshop.

I use Sanctuary Hills as my "main settlement", where I put all the companions, and also there's a few random settlers. The problem is that they always keep getting my weapons from the Workshop and using. That is my collection! "My", from the verb "not yours". Obviously I get it back, but I want that it stop happening.

I've made a Steamer Trunk to put all in it, but there's so much weapons that my game lags a little bit when I look at it... just a temporary solution. So, there's some way to keep my collection in peace? Damn, I've put more than 40 turrets, they don't need weapons!!

No really. I did that. Built a shack on the roof, couple of beds, turrets, couple of chests.

Initially I lived there alone, only recently I parked 2-3 companions there and they leave the stuff alone.

No I have no problems with it.

Actually I give my weapons to my settlers because my settlers needs the best to fight against the very worst!

Not only that I give my very best armors to my settlers as well.

I don't want Sanctuary be full of Deathclaw.

If you have a problem put walls around your important weapons chest.

You haven't played The Sims2 before have you?

You can starve them to death by removing a door where they are in.

I carefully sort each of my types of Gear into different Chests.

It keeps the amount of stuff in each Chest down and keeps my Settlers from Bogarting my Gear.

As a side note, I only keep Legendaries, Uniques, and Explosives, and some other stuff with Sentimental Value. Scrap the rest. It's not worth keeping.

I have 18 settlers and minutemen at the Castle where all my weapons are stored in the weapons bench and I never got anything stolen. Wether it depends on putting the weapons in the weapons bench, not the workbench, or wether some other strange mechanism is at work in your game I don't know.

Weird, I never had my weapon stolen, even if the ones in the storage are missile launcher and minigun.

But your settlers deserve a throat slit for doing that. lol

So long as you don't store weapons and ammo in the same place Settlers won't nick your gear. Though I have containers for pretty much everything except ammo which I always keep on me.

I have al my stuff at Red Rocket where I send all my companions too, no issues with them using my [censored]
