Weirdest thing just happened ...

I was doing some scrapping and building at Sunshine Tidings when I heard this "thump thump thump" so I ran forward and got my weapons out. Turned around and there was this deathclaw just rambling through the settlement. No alarm, no alert, just kept on going, leaving me standing there, jaw to the ground, muttering, "what the hell?".

Yep, that happens. There's one that sometimes pops up near The Slog that does the same thing. So long as you stay out of its line of sight, that is. I usually dart up the diving platform and go hidden and keep my eye on it.

Kind of cool to watch them do their thing.

I also found one near a medical facility, though I can't remember the name. It was right outside the door, up the road a bit. A few mutants spawned near it and they both clashed, and I took this as an opportunity to get the hell out of Dodge.

Hehe, that's when I take a seat somewhere with a good view, munch some popcorn, and wait to finish off the leftovers with Ol' Painless.

I'm amazed that after hundreds of hours logged there's still stuff I've never seen before.

Last night I heard a squad of super mutants fighting something. Turn the corner and it's a giant sized rad roach. At least as big as one of those small sized car.

Start a new character. One of the first thugs I loot? "Calm-x". WTF! Hadn't seen that in 100+ hours as a chem manufacturing sniper.

i love the random stuff that happens, this made the game struggle a lot but i saw one of the helicopter thingies(vertibird or something) with brotherhood of steel(my allies at the moment) shooting at supermutants, i decided to join in but also raiders and some ghouls decided to join in along with raiders, it was laggy as hell at parts but amazing to experience

Yeah, I've wandered into some pretty amazing firefights at night (I only go out at night :ninja: ) , between BoS/SuperMuties/Raiders/Gunners... the explosions, tracers, laserfire, screams, curses... as the furball pulses and shifts from alley to lobby to open ground shootouts, with flaming vertibird debris, bodies and wrecked cars going nuclear- it is the closest I've come to feeling like I was part of actual combat in a game. Felt more realistic than any CoD match (silly stuff, that).
