Sanctuary's happiness...

Yeah, well that's just dandy. So who wants to spend an hour trying to figure out who has which pre-existing bed? That's not really my idea of fun. I ran into this problem on Nordhagen beach when I took over the settlement. I think I finally got the bed situation sorted out but it took forever. I hope Bethesda addressed this soon because it can be frustrating.

I don't have the Slog yet with my current character but didn't know this. At least those settlers are named so it makes it a little easier to sort out who is who, and who has which bed.

Then let me save you the time with all the correct bed assignments: In The Slog, when you go in to the room with 5 beds, from left to right, the beds belong to Arlen or Deidre (not sure whom), "Worker" with face exposed, Wiseman, "Worker" with face fully covered, and Holly. In the room with the 3 beds, the two beds placed side by side belong to the "Worker" with white surgery mask (further from the door) and Jones. The 3rd bed belongs to Arlen or Deidre (not sure whom). Arlen never goes to sleep, and Deidre was killed in my game, so I don't know their exact beds. Also, some of these beds are placed too closely together, and you have to move them to more open spaces (on PC, in build mode, point to the bed and hold E), otherwise these people won't sleep in them and lower the happiness.

There's no all encompassing solution for happiness imo as the settlement mechanic is flawed as a whole..seemingly.I'm trying to accept it as it is until either Beth or the Mod community fix it..which ever comes first.

With nothing better to do i spent some time last night following advice here about getting this pointless achievement.

I chose Sunshine Tidings Co-op

It's ridiculous.

You have to build multiple clinics, stores and restaurants.

That got me into the high nineties.

I happened across the junkyard dog seller again so adding a dog gave an extra boost.

I'd already sorted out the beds so nothing more could be done there.

So i bought 2 more cows to add to the existing 2.

That's a small herd but don't know if that helped.

I had 99 rising but got called away to the other side of the map around 8.00pm.

By the time I walked there and back with a few interactions on the way it was 6.00 am and some time during my trip I had reached 100.

But it's not very satisfying because it's too contrived having to build a plethora of clinics.

Multiple Restaurants i can understand.

Exactly, can't believe it was designed so that the only way to reach 100 is to build half a dozen clinics..it is way to contrived,as you say...but i'm just accepting settlements as they are until the're fixed.Cheers.

Try adding a radio on a table somewhere with chairs around it.

Also try adding a "bar" nearby.. if you have Local Leader 2.

This plus some way to "stimpack" the robots like other companions.
