Fallout 4 Internal Game Jam

Post » Mon Jan 18, 2016 3:08 am

So some of us remember the Skyrim Game Jam, the internal competition by the dev team after the Skyrim release, the one that brought us Mounted Combat eventually and showed off an epic Mudcrab behemoth battle.

I think it was a pretty fantastic practice that let the devs get their creative juices flowing again after they put out Skyrim. With the Bethblog that was gone I find myself out of touch with the Bethesda development community, has anyone heard/or hoping that they will repeat this practice, maybe turn it into a post-launch tradition? Maybe to coincide with the eventual GECK release.

I mean, fighting Mirelurk queens and all is fun... but you know whats really fun? A 200 foot Mirelurk in a dapper hat attacking downtown Boston.

Any blog posts they make will be uploaded to Bethesda.net nowadays, rather than the BethBlog. I think.

Would be pretty cool to see another gamejam, get an idea of what they might do. Pretty much all of the new content in Dawnguard and Hearthfire came from the gamejam, but then so much stuff from the jam never made it to the games so who knows.
