Fallout 4 Radio DJs and the Legacy of Three Dog

Post » Mon Jan 18, 2016 10:00 am

Speaking of Three dog, I wonder how the current BOS deals with him(If they deal with him at all). Hell, I wonder if Elder macklemore Maxson let him live seeing how if memory serves me well, Three dog talked bad about the "Outcasts" and Maxson actually made amends with them.

Would be nice to hear that Maxson and company left him to rot in his tower to become a super mutant six toy. :P Though I'm guessing they just stopped protecting him or something.

Any ideas?

I wouldn't be shocked if they left 3Dog for dead but I doubt it. Also why would a super mutant want a six toy?

didnt like or dislike him really, just didnt listen to the radio in FO3 and didnt really care to listen to him at all

constatntly listened to mojave music radio station (and sang along!!! my baby used to laugh her ass off when she came into the room and im belting out "....lets ride into the sunset together........." or something hahaha. dammit thats it gonna have to play some NV again while waiting for FO4 fixes) but never bothered listening to radio new vegas as it was only the cowboy songs i was interested in so didnt hear mr new vegas much

but i like travis, pre quest travis, its funny as hell listening to the awkwardness

my first character i did his quest, just you know quest go do it, and didnt like him changing

in previous playthroughs im not gonna do his quests

dont listen to the radio in 4 much though, just the classical station, hopefully someone mods the NV songs in (xbox one :( ) or mods so can add your own music, would like to roll around the apocolyptic wasteland listen to john frusciante

stg else about radio dj's, or rather radios in general,

somebody pls either tell me which part i'm getting wrong or what's about that? (i'm awfully bad with names, might be part reason for my confusion)

3-dog's radio station is galaxy news radio, right?

and what one of the diamond city radio jingles says is "part of galaxy news network", right? (if so ---> heavy dlc suspicion)

and the acronym for galaxy news network would be gnn, right?

if that's all correct so far:

one of the first entries of that minutemen turncoat gunner guy says "contact to gnn network established"

so what's that about then?

does that mean we'll get a dlc where 3dog returns of the secret head of the gunners, and galaxy news is just some type of carrier signal for them like the classic station is for the institute maybe?

A Three Dog DLC would be as refreshing as a fart in an elevator

Galaxy News Network was a pre-war broadcaster, they did the news report shown in the opening video of the first game. The Gunners took over GNN Plaza, and that "GALAXY! NEWS! RADIO!" jingle was from the Silver Shroud radio station. I doubt the Gunners have anything to do with Three Dog.

like i already said in an earlier posting, i came to like "before" travis a lot in my current playthrough.

his jokes are good, and he devours himself for them afterwards :-)

(and he's also kind of realistic, when you think about it. of course today, somebody like travis would hardly ever get a job as a radio dj. post-nuke though, the confidence lacking nerd guy and the radio station perfectly fit. what much else could a guy like that do, and who else would even bother running a radio station in a post-war wasteland?)

for "after" travis though, dunno, he sounds like a sober mr new vegas imitator..

Babymetal, would love to kill mutants, raiders, synths, ghouls all while listening to Babymetal.

Do miss the early Playstation days when cd's ripped onto the console were playable during games like Vice City etc. Still remember driving around doing missions while Rammstein were blasting out of the car stereo.

Eh? That doesn't seem to make any thematic sense.

Nervous, insecure Travis is the best. I hated him for the first hour or so, and then I realized how genius of a character he is - so funny.

Confident Travis is ok, but I miss insecure Travis.

I like the DJ in Fallout 4, What I do not like is him playing two genres of music. I was really expecting three dog to come riding in with the BoS perhaps blaring some Dion. Lore wise it would have worked. As he was friends with the BoS. If not that I really expected to find holotapes of rockabilly. Use them a la Ipod. : Shrugs : Something that could have been better had they had a bit more input or just thought.

I imagined he left like Doctor Li when the Brotherhood started taking over the capital wasteland, I can see him as one of those people that actually hate when groups come in to help and then go "Oh well thanks for the help. Now get the hell out, you're no longer needed."
