Do they exist???

I have found legendary armor in every other form but, no helmets.

I don't have many helmets in general, I got 1 legendary I think - Destroyers helmet, its damn ugly though. Most the legendary gear i've gotten is mostly useless. Loot system is a bit like warcraft, except you cant keep running something until you get what you need. if you get poor drops, thats just the game Beth intended for you.

I can also say that I've never got a legendary helmet aside from those that you can buy from vendors.

the only ones I've found have been from vendors as well. the back of my brain is saying the BOS vendor aboard the Prydwen had one, and the vendor chick inside Covenant.

I remember those, not sure those were legendary, but they were called recon helmets I believe

The Institute as one as well but it is ugly imo and couldn't be modded if I remember right. I will stick with my beret.

I played on survival mode to level 70. One legendary helmet dropped. Destroyers helmet. I wore it all the time.

I am level 38 now and the game is already way too easy. Not much challenge anymore. The advantage is that I now play more in a Roleplay mode ... Building settlements .. And walking around with different outfit mostly for the look.


This being said, when I am heading for the front, my head piece is the Gray Knit Cap ... It does not protect much, but hell it looks bad ass. I dont really care anymore about the few armor point I am losing while wearing that useless cap sice I am already over powered.

There are several of them. Destroyer's Helmet is my favorite...a legendary combat armor helmet with +1 charisma and +1 intelligence. There's also the Commando Helmet, which is another combat armor helmet. Those are the only two that come to mind.

Are the only legendary helmets in the game. This doesn't include hats or helmeted armor though.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the synth helmet. I think there might be a Mark 3 Synth Helmet too, but I'm not positive.

With an destroyer helmet, my character looks like a psychiatric patient.

I mod headgear with Ballistic Weave, no helmet will ever top that armour.

Sold by the guy on the Prydwin. It's reasonably priced. Just make sure to buy it before you decide to destroy BoS faction if you're going that route. He also sells a nice commando chest piece, but you can find better/cheaper pretty easily.

As already mentioned, it's on the Prydwen. I forget what perks it has. I remember it not being good enough to switch my Destroyer's Helmet though. Combat Armor in general is by far my favorite in the game thoug, so I always snag it whenever I see it regardless of whether or not I want to use it.

Level 66 on my main and never seen a legendary helmet drop. Been using my Reinforced Combat Helmet since level 12 I think. LOL
