Will they have marriage like Skyrim?

Post » Mon Jan 18, 2016 8:08 pm

I saw a lot of posts from different websites and forum talking about marriage and stuffs. Will they be implemented in DLC or something? Skyrim NPCs don't have any personality, but Fallout 4 characters have their own personality and a deeper backstory. We also have a church that we could get married in and wedding rings. It seems like a waste to not implement it. We already have it in FO2.

Sigh, well at the risk of being unpopular I hope they do add it. (maybe not to skyrims level just a few people maybe in a dlc)

People really get up on arms about it for some reason, but I do know just as many people like it.

One one hand you would think ? it would have been in, seeing as how you can possibly see one happen in diamond city, and can encounter many married families (named settlers) mostly at settlements.

But on the other hand (kind of a bad side) it would mean more recorded dialogs so unless they got people to come back tis a bit late for characters people allready uhh LOVE heh.

I gave Cait a wedding ring and she pawned it for booze money....... we were ment to be together!

Well I honestly don't really care much if they add it since I doubt I would use it.

So it's the same for me.

I think they could very well implement it in a DLC, so the actors for the voices may be called back for the DLC and they could record some extra lines for this sidequest, similar to how we could have additional people go into the chamber in the ending for Fallout 3. It's just additional lines, and it's not that they have animate much since they could reuse some of the stuffs from the other random marriage event. The game has dress, tuxedo, wedding rings, a pastor, a church, a marriage random event, so basically everything they could have used. It's just a fun little thing that make the game a little more interesting.

It'll just be like in Skyrim! You can talk to Pastor Clements at the Chapel in Diamond City... He'll sell you little rings, if you sold your wedding rings. You'll talk to your companions, and they will marry you. You'll both live happily ever after.

the school teacher and his assistant is the only wedding. we should consider the main character has not gotten over the death of the spouse this in time, this was not very long ago.

guess ya want to move on fast, right?

Depending on the passage of time, the in-game passage of my game is over a year already. I honestly wasn't a fan of how defined the character is, and as a player, it's hard to attach to a wife you know for 5 minutes of the game. Plus, it's an open world RPG, how fast we can get over your spouse or whether we stay faithful to our spouse til the end is really should be up to the player. I think getting in sack with the companions already throw the gotten over the death of the spouse out the window many times over already.

At least, you don't just go home to grab some cash and bolt off like Skyrim. :P

I feel like this game has everything needed for a sidequest like that, and it wouldn't take much to animate either.
