To all you Fallout veterans

Could someone please write out an overveiw of the main quests in the original games? I'm making a sort of guide to the series and I need the plots for the originals but I have no experience with them, so I'd probably scrw it up somehow.

Thanks in advance!

PS. It can be as long as you like, just try to keep it as much like a walkthrough as possible, without actually telling me exactly what to do, more where to go and who to talk to than what to pick up and how to do things.

I believe that if you had looked at my previous posts, you woud have discovered that I have actually played the '[censored]' games, however, I found them boring and I wasn't able to get into the spirit of it. I am kindly asking for a favour from my favourite online community, so unless you have something constructive to say, get out of the thread.

Well obvious spoilers

Fallout 1: You are a vault dweller of vault 13, you have to go outside the vault early because your waterchip broke, you find the water chip, and then this evil guy called the master starts turning people into supermutants and attacks everyone, so you have to go kill the master, and then the game ends with you getting exiled from the vault and some other vault dwellers following you.

Fallout 2: Vault Dweller made a village, and a couple decades later its gone to hell, so the pc a descendant of the vault dweller named the choosen one has to return to vault 13 to find the holy GECK, after finding the geck and returning to his village it is revealed that his village has been capture by the enclave, the choosen one must then use a tanker in san fransisco to rescue his village, and destroy the enclave, he suceeds and they all live hapily ever after.

Thats the plot because im not sure what you wanted. The other game are of questionable cannonical status. Also how are you going to write a guide for a game you haven't played. Thats like North Korea writing a book on what it means to be a westernized country.

It's not a guide to any particular game, it's an in depth introdcution to he fallout universe. I've already written a timeline of Resource Wars and I've written a bit about the Vaults, aswell as listing all the Vaults that are visitable ingame along with what the experiments were etc.

In regards to your synopsi (right word?) They're a bit short, I might post my one for Fallout 3 when I finish it so you can get a better idea.

Fallout 3 is officially canon, however, you are also entitled to your opinon. Don't worry though, I won't include Tactis or BOS. Think of Fallout 3 as the lesser of 3 evils.

Ah, my bad.
Anyway:

I have my thing for Fallout 3 ready, the only problem is that it is 6 pages long. Should I post it here depite the fact that it will stretch the page?

Fallout Tactics:

A schism has formed in the Brotherhood of steel. One group wants to be a bit more proactive than the other.... Eventually the differences get to hard to reconcile and those wanting a more proactive approach are sent on a mission to recover tech from the rest of the Con US in a fleet of Airships. A storm strikes the airships, and most of them crash land near Chicago, out of contact with HQ, this Brotherhood of steel acts a bit differently to their Californian Counterparts. Instead of being "Apart" from Society, this Brotherhood is more involved with the locals, trading protection for food and recruits. After dealing with local raider groups and the migrating remains of the Master's army, the Brotherhood becomes aware of a group of Robots based out of Vault Zero - The Cheyenne mountain complex. These robots are pretty much killing/enslaving anything that moves, so the Brotherhood move to them, and their "Leader" the Calculator

(Tactics is Semi Canon - in that the Major events happened (ie- the Schisim, the Blimps, the Calculator) but some specifics did not happen).

Fallout 2 did really have that complicated of a plot. I don't really remember fallout 1, but you can always just go to the wiki.

And while you are at it, could you please do them for Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, etc.???

You know, it really isn't that bad an idea, for the forum to have a walk-thru topic for all the different games.

I'm a little baffled by the project but... like the poster above, why not just go to the Vault wiki and read the info, quest walk-throughs and so on for the earlier Fallout games, and you should be able to make a summary from gathering that information.

Why not just make your entire guide a series of links?

Fallout 1 and 2 svck ass. All you do is run around killing giant ants and rats with spears. Then after that you run around and pickpocket dumb people over and over and [censored] and fight people. The end.

If you think that's what Fallout is about, you clearly missed the point of these games.

Well... I guess that makes fallout much better than any FPS... As they're just about fighting people. No Pickpocketing or nuthin.
