Fallout 4 physical copy CD Key

Can the cd key that comes with the game's physical copy be used more than once?

As far as I've seen there's no other topic like this. But I have a question to everyone here, but let me explain. A while back my computer died and I won't be able to fix it for quite a while longer. I've been looking forward to this game for months and I haven't had the chance to plant till just now, but my computer is dead and so I can't. I am curious if the cd key that comes with the physical copy of the game can be used more than once. If it can then I will download the game onto another computer temporarily until I can get mine fixed. But I do need to know.

The game/CD key is tied to the Steam account you create. Once the key is used it's locked to that account.

The disk does not contain the game content. It is downloaded through Steam. Which is on the disk.

P.S.

Sorry, kinda forgot to mention (in my rush to do something) once it's tied to a Steam account you can download to any PC, but can only log in with that account on 1 of them at a time. So no worries when upgrading your PC.

Yup, the key is to associate it with a Steam account. Once so associated, the game can be installed more than once by the owner of the Steam account on any number of machines. So if by 'used more than once' you are asking if you can install the game multiple times or on more than one machine you own, the answer is yes. If you mean can you sell or give away the game and let somebody else use it after or in addition to yourself, the answer is no.

That's family share and the one copy still can't be used on more than one PC at a time. So if your sharing your Steam library and someone is playing your copy of Fallout 4 then you can't play it.

This is all very informative, but there is one problem. I'm not talking about a steam key, steam has suspended that access from my account. (long story short I got hacked a while back and steam still won't let be do anything) I'm just talking about Bethesda's game registration code, not tied to steam as far as I know. Any info on that would be excellent, thanks.

But it is. Fallout 4 is a Steamworks game and therefor requires a valid Steam account to activate and play it.

Sorry buddy, there is no version of Fallout 4 for the PC that DOESN'T use steam. You need to redeem the code through steam.

If you can't, I guess it's console time.

Nah, my second account can apparently still use cd keys, so I'm good.
