The narration provided by the voice protagonist doesn't expatiate on the work you've done, and it doesn't explain what has happened to the settlements you have visited or the people/companions.


It's a hollow voiceover that says little over the customary 'war, war never changes' line.

I barely recognise the ending as Fallout without Ron Perlman, and the customary information about the lives I've affected, but what's worse is that what replaces it says nothing of meaning. It's just windowdressing, with a black and white filter and platitudes.

I'm about 150 hours in and just hearing this has killed my desire to beat the game I've not actually beaten fallout 4 once because of how bad I've heard the ending is.

It's truly disappointing... The ending doesn't define the experience, but the endings of previous Fallout games are some of the best experiences I've ever had in entertainment.

Hearing the detailed futures of the settlements I've influenced, and the people I've met, culminating in Ron Perlman's iconic rendition of 'war, war never changes' is ...

Something I should have appreciated more, because its absence is deeply felt.

Its the journey that matters, not the destination. Im feeling profound today.


At least Ron's voice still makes an appearance albeit very short.
