Memory Den - Memory Machine? (possible spoilers)

Post » Tue Jan 19, 2016 1:38 am

Hello

I was told that you can enter 1 of the memory machines... however I cannot... I did a bit of research and it turns out I may of gone past the point of no return so I cant use one.

However I read that you can get Nick Valentine to be a companion? and once he follows you... and you enter the memory den this will now allow you to use the memory machine

Can anybody confirm this?

Thank you

P.S (IF) you can have nick as a companion I have no unlocked him yet as ive only done the mission where you rescue him so far

There's a mission, after you meet Valentine where you do use one, it's part of the main storyline.

There is a side quest 'Memory Den', but it's only available until you meet Valentine.

Its part of the main questline, you should be able to get in if you just follow the main leads unless those can be failed (Didnt realise that was possible).

After you've rescued him there should be a quest where you follow a trail of sorts, after completing that quest he will tell you about the memory lounger.

If you go to the Memory Den before going to Diamond City

Spoiler
you can bribe/charm your way into a session. You will get to experience the scene where your spouse is shot again. Afterwards they will tell you to visit DC and look up Valentine. If you take this route your conversation with Piper and the mayor will be shorter than usual though.
