Elder Arthur Maxson the Leader the Wasteland Deserves

Maxson decryers will outright ignore every strength Maxson has if not outright lie about them; but almost every weakness they claim that is actually true is actually a strength.

I'd say he turned into an exceptional soldier and leader......of course he probably wouldn't have become an Elder at 16 but for his name, but his following actions cemented his leadership of the EC Brotherhood.

It will be interesting to see which ending becomes Canon, I doubt this is the end for the EC Brotherhood either way.

My guess is because until The Brotherhood came along, they really didn't need anything stronger than the armored Courser Uniform.

Z2-47 blew through those Gunners pretty easily. And aside from The Brotherhood, they're probably the most heavily armed faction in The Commonwealth.

Which didn't make a lot of sense to me since Courser armor is not that strong without the weave which the Coursers don't have. I was expecting it be more like the NCR Ranger armor rivalling power armor........actually Coursers seem underpowered to me in practice, I was expecting them to be more Terminator like but in the end found them nothing special.

King ARTHUR...

ARTHUR Maxon.... The Prydwin???

I wonder...

Maxon is Arthur (figuratively AND by name), the mighty King, leading his cadre of knights on a grand quest. Knights who fought each other until HE unified them.

Danse = Lancelot, the noble-as-hell trusted lieutennant who lets his leader down in the end, simply because of who he (Danse) is.

Quinlan is Merlin, catalouging the King's deeds, aggrandising them, cultivating Arthur's cult of personality to the point he cannot be questioned or challenged.

King Arthur kills a dragon at a relatively young age- Arthur Maxon kills a Deathclaw when he's a child. Camelot was impressive and shiny, and quite unlike anything anyone at the time had seen. The Prydwin is all of these things as well.

And King Arthur had a battleship he called The Prydwin....

Seems pretty clear to me where Bethesda got the inspiration for this guy. Maxon the Saxon!

I didn't say they have to be drafted. Volunteers can make the unit.

Now who is grasping at straws.

All in All, we simple don't know what will happen in the future. We can predicted if Schrodinger's Cat died in the box or not but won't know until we open the box.

Lets be honest here. You could say the EXACT same things about a real life leader. He took an economy that was the worst in Europe and made it the most powerful not only in Europe but around the world. He changed his people from down trodden and depressed to a proud, hard working confident people. He modernized his countries infrastructure. His military skills, once war came, won battle after battle over all the great powers of Europe.

We all know how that worked out for Germany and Adolf. His inflexibility to his "ideology" was his and his nations downfall. I see that exact same inflexibility to ideology as I see in Maxson.

Oh come off it.

I hate Maxson but even I can see comparing him to Hitler is just Godwin's Law at its finest. Its completely baseless and unnecessary.

And what do you do when you don't have enough volunteers? :)

3000% you. You're making up wild speculated scenarios. I'm positing based on things the game tells you. :)

Strange how you no longer want to posit scenarios once I use in-game information to better predict the outcome. :)

You may see it as baseless, I do not. Anytime you have a mindset that the ends justify the means, that its either do it our way or die mentality you set yourself up for this exact kind of ending. Adolf truly believed what he was doing was for the betterment of mankind, and in fact he truly did revitalize Germany and was very well respected across the free world, that was until he showed his true colors and invaded Poland. Whenever any ideology proclaims itself to be the only true way and that all others must die then you better grab your gun because sooner or later you will have to defend yourself or submit to total control.

Any Gouls not just feral. Not to mention all synths, anyone that wants to keep tec to themselves and deprive the glories all knowing BoS from controlling it, well just about anyone that "gets in there way."

I haven't seen anything in-game that suggests that the BoS wants to wipe out non-feral ghouls. They don't send you on any missions to exterminate non-ferals and, AFAIK, they don't say that they want to either. And Danse, who lives and breathes the ideals of the BoS will get mad at you if you do murder a non-feral.

The BOS doesn't think ghouls should exist (as they are an embodiment of the consequences of misusing technology), but they don't have an extermination policy for non-ferals.

Yes the myth that all ghouls are persecuted by the Brotherhood is brought out of the shadows on a regular basis, the fact that there is not a single case of the Brotherhood EVER persecuting or murdering ghouls is largely ignored.

As for the Godwin, its already been pointed out by the moderators on this thread that using it will get your post edited to remove the puerile nonsense.

I've yet to hear that anywhere in any of the games.
