Moding weapons

Post » Fri Jun 25, 2010 3:40 pm

Hi everyone, I'm trying to change the "damage value" on some weapons for RP purposes and I'd like to know if I have to mod the weapon's stats with the construction set or can it be done via cheats within the game.

If so which cheats?

Thanks

You can use the CS to edit damage.

If you're using OBSE you can open the console and use SetAttackDamage.

open the CS, load oblivion.esm,, go to the object window choose the weapon you want, modify it's damage, save (you will be asked to name your plugin - name it like MyModifiedWeapons.esp), launch oblivion, select your plugin in the launcher>Data Files, play

^^ Pretty much what he said.

You will have to poke around through the list of Weapons to find the one you're looking for though. As well, it has to have a unique name - can't have 2 "WarAxe Of Hellfire" items or else it goes bonkers.

And when you start the CS, and select File/Data..., you have to double-click the Oblivion.esm in the dialog box that appears. Whacky, I know, but that trips up everyone on their first try.
