Post » Tue Jan 19, 2016 8:12 pm

Battle axes, greatswords, polearms, etc.

I wanna get my Elder Scrolls on in Fallout! Rock the Commonwealth as the Dovakin! Nalok Zin Los Fahrim!

Would go great with the Grognak costume.

You will love mods then. I have no doubts all that stuff will eventually appear on the nexus.

You can do them too, either by being in 3rd person or by using vats.

going through the wastelands with two powerfists equipped? now that would be awesome!

I am disappointed that while wearing PA, you can't use the power fist. not sure about other melee weapons but really? ok...

I'm sure there will be mods for this, if not already.

Probaby because it's an ax. Me, I prefer to crush skulls, not split them in twain.

A sledge, or big hammer as my ESO beserker calls em'. She maintains that swords and axes, any edged weapon, are for pussies. You hang around sharpening it and the first thing you do is smack some fool in heavy armor. Now your fancy blade is just a light piece of steel, have fun hitting big ugly stuff with that. A hammer never needs sharpening, get better as the battle progresses and is self decorating.

I bought a Stunning Super Sledge at Diamond City and have never looked back. ;)

There's already a mod for Power Fist use in Power Armor, haven't tried it yet though.

Just looked at a Power Fist with Saw Blade Attachments today...don't think that's in the base game.

There is also a rare type of Sledgehammer out there that I've only ever seen once or twice. It's bigger and badder than the standard model and much heavier. Saddly, I haven't seen a Super Sledge variety yet. And forget dual Powerfists, immagine dual DEATCLAW GAUNTLETS?!?!

It has a small rocket bolted on to the top and it goes off when you use it, it has a trigger for this. Mine also has an electrical damage value, the Stunning bit I guess.

Oh, I know about the Super Sledges.

I was referring to the other type of Sledgehammer.

I actually think it may be a type of Mod that drastically changes the appearance.

I had originally thought that it was a completely different base weapon type and was lamenting that the (in my opinion) cooler looking item did not have a Super Sledge variety of its' own.

It's a mod for sledgehammers. It puts it at the same damage as a super sledge except no energy dam.

Weapon mod not game mod. Don't know why but it looks like I need to clarify.

In New Vegas, Unarmed weapons had horrible clipping issues with Power Armor. This was because the models for Unarmed weapons were made with the player character's arm in mind, not that of Power Armor. In Fallout 4, they could have had the weapon use a different model when you wore Power Armor, but to some people, having a weapon made of metal that magically expands and contracts to fit you or your Power Armor breaks immersion. Instead, they decided to go with the explanation that Unarmed weapons are designed for a person, and don't fit on the arm of a suit of Power Armor.

To counter this, a suit of Power Armor gives you 15 Unarmed damage automatically, and Power Armor arms can be modded to give even more. The damage doesn't peak as high as what you would get with an actual Unarmed weapon, but wearing Power Armor gives you a lot more survivability, so it evens out.

You and I are gonna be great friends, I can see it! Eviscerating our enemies and pulling their organs out to show it to them with our claws, we'll make the Commonwealth fear our wrath and respect our might!

Sounds much much better than exploding heads. I would like to have such gore in the game. :)
