Leveled List Problem

Post » Sat Jun 26, 2010 5:28 pm

Hey all,

I'm in the process of modding my game, and I had installed Morrowind Advanced a while ago (using BTBs edited .esp). I also wanted Morrowind Comes Alive, so I installed MCA and the MCA 5.2 patch, and then merged the leveled lists using Horatio's Leveld List Merger. However, now when I start the game, I'm getting a ton of errors along the lines of :"Unable to locate object 'BKA2_Coat_7Arm' in Leveled Item '_MCA_COV_crusader_talbard.' I get a ton of these errors, and then once I get to the title screen and click "new," everything freezes up and then crashes. What can I do to fix this?

Thanks

That tool is obsolete and busted as I understand it. Wrye Mash gives the best results for merging lists.

Oh wow, had no idea about that. I do have Wrye Mash, but have never used the leveled list merger function for it, is it easy or are there any tutorials for how to use it?

EDIT: and actually, the problem didn't have to do with that at all, turns out the "COV" portion of the mod used a mod that I didn't have, which was where all the errors came from. I didn't see the actual MCA readme at first, so I'll have to go back and figure out which portions of the mod I should and shouldn't use.

It's in the documentation http://wryemusings.com/Wrye%20Mash.html#MergingLeveledLists, if you have any problems, I'm sure you can get an answer from someone on this forum.

You might try mlox (link below). It will help you discover problems in your plugin list.
